Penile Growth in Response to Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) Treatment in Patients

Penile Growth in Response to Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) Treatment in Patients

TL;DR: has anyone used hCG alone or in conjunction with Anastrazole while on a PE regimen and found that it helped any?

It’s been mentioned in passing, but I am revisiting this subject specifically:
Penile Growth in Response to Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) Treatment in Patients with Idiopathic Hypogonadotrophic Hypogonadism - PMC

"Penile length was measured with the penis flaccid and fully stretched. The mean penile length also increased significantly after hCG treatment. The flaccid and stretched length after hCG treatment increased from 3.39±1.03 cm to 5.14±1.39 cm and from 5.41±1.43 cm to 7.45±1.70 cm, respectively (p<0.001)"

Now I don’t think hCG is magic, but I wonder if it might be worth supplementing with as it is fairly affordable compared to other hormones. A year ago I tried out a TRT regimen from an "men’s clinic" in California and they started me on 400 units hCG twice a week along with .5mg Anastrazole and .4 units Testosterone Cypionate. The result for me was a recorded leap from around 3-400 to 800-1000 total Testosterone. Over about six months they adjusted my dosages and tried to dial me in, but at no point did I notice any increase in erection strength, sleep quality, focus, or any of the purported benefits of "good" T levels. During the first half of treatment my testicles became smaller and they adjusted my hCG dose to 500 and halved my Anastrazole to .25mg and the balls seemed to bounce back, but I still never saw much overall benefit. I was not doing much PE during this time.

I wonder if the hCG effect would help things along if the Testosterone were left out, as my levels arent terrible. (After hitting the gym for a few months, my T is back to 560 with no help)

I’ve been on testosterone replacement therapy for over 5 years now. I do a testosterone cypionate injection 1x/week, anastrozole capsule 2x/week, and HCG 3x/week. None of that affects growth. I’ve been doing PE for a year and a half and if I have any gains, it’s not due to that. I didn’t read that study closely, but the title states idiopathic hypogonadism…so you have to have low T due to systemic issues. Having low T as you get older (I’m 46) doesn’t qualify as that. I would suspect that HCG or testosterone supplementation would only have an affect during normal growth periods…say 13-22 or so. After that, what you have is what you have…you can’t trick your body into growing more. That’s sort of like growth hormone…if you start taking it as an adult, you’re not going to grow an inch or two taller. Additionally, the HCG is supposed to help combat testicular shrinkage, but in my case, I’m not too sure how much it helps. I take 1mg Test, 0.5 mg anastrozole and 500 units HCG 3x/week. The only noticeable difference I have is my overall size. I was 6’3” 163 lbs when I started…which was when my wife left me and I had to go out on the market and ED reared its ugly head. I was doing weights once a week and tennis 2-3 days/week at the time. Then I bumped up my caloric intake and started doing weights 2-3x/week…I gained 30 lbs. For most people, that would be bad, but 6’3” 195 lbs ain’t skinny and is far from overweight. Maybe it helps some with libido, but I’m always pretty skeptical about those things. Oh, and started growing a lot more back hair :(

All of these studies that show growth from hormone treatment, whether HCG or DHT or another, are treating micropenis. The hormones do not have the same (or any) effect on a penis that matured normally during puberty.

Stabilizing Serum Concentrations

Personally I’ve found that TRT becomes more effective (focus, drive, libido) if the administration frequency is increased. Same overall dose but injections 3 times a week. This will generally reduce your need for arimadex as there won’t be large spikes in your test levels, decreasing estrogenic side effects.

Be careful with using estrogen inhibitors like arimadex/anostrazole as it can easily crush your estrogen. Without any estrogen I lost all sexual interest and basically became asexual

If you are sensitive to AI, talk to your doctor about SERM (selective estrogen receptor modulator)

Reviving this old topic…

I found a study that included adults, even in their 30s. They had IHH hypogonadism. Their penis still grew (and they even got taller!!!!) after a year on high dose hcg 3000iu to 5000iu three times per week and clomid 25mg daily. This looks promising for those well past the “growth period” as long as they have secondary hypogonadism.
