Possible inaccuracy from leaning over the ruler when measuring

Possible inaccuracy from leaning over the ruler when measuring

I attached a paint drawing which explains the issue. Basically, if I lean back more, my eye will catch the edge of the ruler at a different point, but if I lean forward more, my eye will catch the ruler at a further point. Kind of hard to explain which is why I made the MS paint drawing. If the thumbnail isn’t visible you can still see the image by clicking on the attachment title.

Have you noticed this possible inaccuracy, and what do you do to control this variable? Thanks!

If you are that concerned about it, you can take a string and attach a small weight to it. Let the string hang down from the ruler and slide the string until it just touches your glans without any deflection in the string. This is the plumb bob method.

Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

The same happens when you take photos.

For this reason, if your penis is in horizontal position, the end of your penis and center of your eye or camera should be vertically in line with ruler between these two points.

Yes. I’ve had to adjust my stats and be mindful. It is negligible though. Like 8.25” (correct) vs. 8.3” - 8.4” (incorrect).

Start: BPEL: 7” MSEG: 5" | Current: BPEL: 8.25” MSEG: 5.75" | Goal: BPEL: 8.5” MSEG: 6"

1st Goal: 7.5" x 5.5" | Achieved: 01/15/2021 | 2nd Goal: 8.25 x 5.75 | Achieved: 05/19/2021

I attach a slider with rare earth magnets to my ruler: magnets on front and back.

I’m going to be “that guy”:

If you are measuring and observing the same way every time, and you measured bigger than last time, you still gained.

2012-ish: ~5.75in BPEL/4.75in MSEG

2021: 184mm/7.26in BPEL; 175mm/6.9in BPFSL; 135mm/5.3in MSEG; 138mm/5.4in BSEG

Roughly 98% of 2012 - 2021 PE efforts were manual work - Persistence wears down resistance

Thanks! I like this idea. Having some kind of slider sounds like it would take care of it. Thanks!

Thank you! Good idea. I will make some kind of slider.

Yes, there are multiple ways to have inaccuracies.

But it doesnt matter. The variations are millimetrical. In order to avoid this, measure exactly the same way each time. Ruler on the same spot of the bone, pressed all the way as hard as you can, if you tend to lean, lean, but lean every single time. So if your penis in reality is 2mm longer and you measured shorter by mistake, no big deal, as long as you measure exactly the same way each time.

Whats important is the progress. And for that is why is is strictly imperative to measure every single day before and after. As soon as you drop your pants, measure BPFSL. As soon as you finish the complete routine, measure BPFSL. So you have a Pre BPFSL and a Post BPFSL every single day to write it down. At the end fo the month that data will be priceless.

Period 1: 06/08/2020 BPFSL: 22cm (8.66") BPEL: 22cm (8.66") EG: 15.8cm (6.25") => 09/07/2020 BPFSL: 23.9cm (9.40")

Period 2: 05/01/2021 BPFSL: 24cm (9.44") BPEL: 22cm (8.66") EG: 15.8cm (6.25") => 07/24/2021 BPFSL: 25.4cm (10.00") BPEL: 23.5cm (9.25")

Goal: 1 Foot x 7.5 Inches (30.48cm x 19.05cm) NBPEL

I mean unless your cock is more than a foot long I don’t think the angle is enough to make it measure more than a single tick on the ruler 1/16” amount of difference. Try to look at the cock from the same viewing position every time.

Most of us from 10+ years here have been measuring on the top, because a side measure gives an extra .5”-.75” due to the shape of the pubic bone.

On my top measure, I press the ruler in ontop of the cock, but the edge of the ruler about 1/4” from the center of the cock, this way I’m not pushing on the ligs causing the cock to pullback slightly and lose measured length. On the bone press measures, I literally press the ruler as deep and hard as it can go ( almost feels like it can cut me ), there can’t be a mm or 2mm before actual bone with my bone press. I know some skin and fat is compressed under the ruler so it never will be perfect.

Thanks. I saw you write about pressing the bone in the same spot that’s why I made a new thread about making sure that’s accurate too. I was a little worried that one day I’m getting an extra 1/16 or even 1/8 because I am leaning over more without realizing. The slider on the ruler will solve that problem. I try to go by feel on where exactly to bone-press but I just want to hold as many variables constant as possible.

Thanks. If I lean back far or forward far it made a big difference though. But I got the slider on the ruler now so I think it is taken care of. That’s interesting what you said about pushing back on the ligaments with the ruler. I noticed that too but I have moved the ruler up to where it doesn’t interfere with the ligaments, while keeping the ruler edge directly along the center of the penis.
