Regular Condoms

I was bored so did a little measuring to see how regular a “regular” condom is. The test subject was an Ansell Lifestyles Regular condom.

Length: 19 cm (7.5”) - includes reseviour tip.
Girth: 11 cm (4.3”)

Now when I first tried condoms, back in the day, I figured that maybe I had short dick because I couldn’t unfold it all the down my penis. I’m about 6.25 ENBPL and 6.3 EG, which I now know is pretty average. But these things still feel loose to me. How do they figure that > 7” is regular? Is this a conspiracy to make us “regular” guys feel less than regular? :-P

Well the size really is to do more with girth than length. It would be stupid for them to make condoms of different lengths when they can cover all bases with one length around the 7 inch mark. They dont expect that on average everyone is longer than 7.5”, but the point is it’s meant to be used in such a manner that you roll it down to the base and leave it like that. Ofcourse there are the lucky men who manage to roll it down all the way :p , but for them, if they’ve gotten a condom rolled down 7.5 inches, there is very little chance of it coming off, so there isn’t any reason for them to really look for a longer condom.

You say 6.3EG girth is pretty average!?! You also say the condom girth is 4.3” and that they feel pretty loose on your 6.3”G. Am I missing something here or is there an unintentional typo?

Something’s got to be wrong with the math. At 6.3 girth you should have trouble getting it on.

A good percentage of men are thicker at the base of the shaft than at midshaft. Since for them a condom has a tendency to roll back “uphill” a ways, so to speak, they would get a safer fit with a condom that has more taper at the base of it. In general, though, 7.5 inches of rubber gives sufficient coverage for nearly everybody.

The “ENBPL” I think stood for Erect Non- Bone Pressed Length…but Im as lost as you are on the 6.3 girth being average….:wtf:

He said his girth was 6” when he started in April, so 6.3 is not a typo. I just can’t understand how the condoms would be loose. Maybe he puts them on flaccid.

To clarify matters. I’m 6.3 EG on a good day and about 6.25 normally (thanks to TP :-) . This is at all points of my penis, not just the base. When I say “loose”, it’s not so loose that I think it’s going to fall off but it’s not tight either. As people have mentioned 6.3 EG is above average. The reason I posted the question in the first place was cause I was wondering how guys with about 5” of girth, which is about normal, find the girth of “regular” condoms.

It pisses me off that I can’t unroll a “regular” condom the whole way. I need length dammit. :-)

It depends on the condom brand. But when I was about 5” EG, I found most “regular” condoms fairly snug. I find it very hard to believe that you are 6.3” or 6.25” or whatever, and yet a regular condom is “loose” on you (even given your definition of “loose”). Either you are measuring incorrectly or your definition of “loose” and “tight” is unique.

Negative. The measuring tape does not lie and I’m pulling it tight around my penis when measuring EG. :-)

Length is still average though. :-(

Hmmm.you may be on to something. As I said above, I know I’m measuring OK so maybe my perceptions regarding tightness need realligning. I guess the real thing that made me think of this was my mate said that he found regular condoms uncomfortably tight. Maybe I am just insecure? ;-)

As kids we used to put condoms over our heads and blow them up to the size of a baloon, so I guess they’ll never feel like they’re at their maximum when on your stick.

At my old girth of 5.25”, condoms were pretty tight, didnt feel “loose” in any way.

Im sorry, but I have to believe you’re measuring incorrectly, a regular condom cannot be loose on a 6.3” girth.
