Hi guys!

First post here in many years and a new account. I got into PE maybe 5-6 years ago when I realised I had lost some length. It wasn’t a lot but I had lost around 0.5 inch since measuring when I was younger. I remember doing the measurements several times to ensure I had it right. I bought a mid range extender and clocked up quite a few hours over 2 months and actually managed to get that length back. I have a vivid memory during the third month - my girlfriend asking me if I had changed something because sex felt different - and that she liked it. I ended up stopping due to life getting in the way. The extender was also painful as hell.

Fast forward to now and I find myself in pretty much the same situation. Seem to be down 0.5inch, I’ve done several measurements over this month. I guess it just happens as you get older. I’ve been looking for an traction device but I can’t remember which one I got before. I know they all look very similar. I’m wondering if the technology has improved in ten years? Are there devices that are most comfortable etc. Do people still use the noose and strap cheap looking devices? I see vacuum stretching is a thing now but I don’t know if it has the same evidence back it from the medical literature. The main reason I started with a traction device was purely because I had full access to all science journals back then and I could research anything. I didn’t have a child last time I got into PE but now I do so time will be an issue.

I also don’t want to spend 3-400 on this. I’ve seen the price of some of these things now days!

You definitely started PE before I did but tbh it doesn’t seem that there is much more medical science behind most of what’s being done here. Extenders and to a degree pumping have the most literature behind them that I have seen. Although pumping being more directed at Ed.

Time and child being a limitation I would probably research 5.5squared and hanging with FIR if you want something that isn’t overly time intensive. However you will need that time. It’s not like you can unhook in 5 seconds. Again though that doesn’t have a ton of science behind it either.

Personally I have had success using an extender with heat at higher tension 4 to 5 times a week for about 45 min to 1 hr. Just depends on how it feels. Yes, I 100% agree the extender is uncomfortable for some time. At this point though it doesn’t bother me personally. My extender routine is light warm ups with heating for about 5 min. Into the extender a 5lbs strength ( I bought a luggage scale to find the tension points on my extender) the slowly over 10 min increase to 7-8 then set it for 45 minutes. Do that 4-5 times a week with a 2 week decon every six weeks. After a lot of experiments over some time that’s what’s working well for me at the moment.

I like the extender because it’s more discreet, can be hidden if needed pretty easy and doesn’t require a ton of nonsense if you need to go address something. I use a noose extender from andropenis. Like you in the beginning I was looking for something with some literature behind it. But there’s a ton out there now. I did buy a jes extender but ultimately ended up back at the andro. Just felt more constant and overall better built. There’s a lot of people that live the vac extenders but I can’t speak to them, total man has one that’s gotten decent reviews from what I have gathered. But again your back to something that requires more effort/ time to get in/out of if you need to get back to life quickly. We’ll, hope that helped a bit.

Thanks for the reply Zmac2, your routine seems pretty simple and easy to to. Ill look into getting a luggage scale too so I know the exact tension ill use. I think ill just buy a cheap extender and run that for an hour a day along side the newbie routine and see how we go. I did have a look at the threads you mentioned but they seem a bit to complex for me. I’m not sure I could get to grips with all that equipment. Although an all day stretcher might be a great idea.

I grew a personal impression that most devices - extenders, pumps, hangers, vacuum systems and so on - are usually developed by the people selling them, and this means they are developed mostly to get more confortable and ‘to look’ more effective. There’s no real medical research behind them: a penimaster is basically still the same it was 15 or more years ago.
It’s actually astonishing they still make and sell noose extenders.

Research is mostly driven by most lucrative markets, but PE makes a difference. If someone invented a pill that makes your penis grow bigger, he’d probably get Elon Musk-level of wealthy in a matter of years. And yet, there’s no relevant research on that. Why?
I don’t know. Perhaps every young researcher dreams of finding the cure for cancer, not to become famous as the man who gave mankind a few more inches.
Perhaps there are so many websites and sellers claiming to have the magical product that will make your penis grow, that no one believes such a product can really exist anymore.

That said, I myself work in medical research and I have the feeling things might change soon. There’s been an awful lot of research aimed at different objectives (for example, anti age treatments) that in a close future will probably yield results in PE too.
As a matter of fact, even if a penimaster didn’t really change, PE did. Perhaps we’re now on the brink of real, scientific change.
