Scientific Evidence

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if there is already a dedicated section (in the forum) where are collected all the papers and scientific works about PE?

Many thanks in advance

Hi, there is no thread that I’m aware of. But there are many scientific reports here - they’re just scattered around.

Interesting and super recent study:

Indications and characteristics of penile traction and vacuum erection devices

(AUTHORS: Abida Sultana, Peter Grice, Josip Vukina, Ian Pearce & Vaibhav Modgil )

Nature Reviews Urology (2021)

Do you have access to the full article? I can only access the abstract.

The takeaways are:

Both PTT and VED are good for erectile functions and penile health. That’s about it.

When connective tissue is stretched within therapeutic temperatures ranging 102 to 110 F (38.9- 43.3 C), the amount of structural weakening produced by a given amount of tissue elongation varies inversely with the temperature. This is apparently related to the progressive increase in the viscous flow properties of the collagenous tissue when it is heated. (Warren et al (1971,1976)

You should also find it using Sci hub

Well, that’s just a tiny part. There’s much more in it

It is a review of wide range of studies done before. It confirms collectively what previous research has indicated already.

It shows the practises working in rehabilitation from serious surgery and in treatment of several penis disease caused adverse effect such found with Peyronies etc.

It tells that PTT is better in straightening curvature than VED.
It tells all about the positive results treating penises having various problems.
There is only one reference of treating small penis syndrome. Healthy penises which have no actual fault other than individual thinking it to be too small. And they had some positive results but there were also non-responders.
Does it sound familiar to anybody?

You can take this review as guidance but the real thing lays in the original studies referred.
I think there were 176 references.

This review is just IMO, very lame collection of the research done earlier. Nothing New.
Their conclusions do not make us jumping all over the place cheering.

We should dig deep in the reference list.
I can call out several favorites of mine already.
