Self-adhesive tape as glans protection?

Does self-adhesive tape (see attachment) help as glans protection against blisters and other injuries? Don’t have micro pore tape and curious if I could use this instead. Or does the tape have to be breathable for the benefits? Tho, I don’t think it can breath at all in a vac cup so it’s just there to protect glans against cup?

I got micro pore tape really cheap, like $12 on amazon for 120 yards. That’s 360 feet. I have been taping with a “plus sign” and that takes 5” of tape each time. If I also go around the circumference of the glans it’s another 4-5” of tape. Even using 3 feet a day of micro pore tape the $12 of tape still lasts 120 days so that’s only 10 cents a day. And 3 feet of tape a day would be a lot.

I’m just saying that because I don’t know if other tapes would be safe besides micro pore tape or maybe other kinds of surgical tape. Careful your first time taping, the tape is especially tricky to take off at the meatus (area around pee hole) I usually use some warm water and slowly slowly remove it over the course of 10 minutes.

I’ve just ordered a roll of micropore tape to try out after apparently causing some permanent glans damage to the surface of my.glans by presumably hanging for too long. Now I can’t hang without one side of my frenulum feeling like it’s gonna rip the tissue off!
