Hi Everyone.

I have been doing mostly (90% of the time) over-hand jelq. I used to just do wet jelq, but I discovered recently that dry jelq actually works very well for me as well.

I find over-hand (palm down) allows me to grip near the base for a more thorough jelq. I tried standard position (palm up) but it just doesn’t seem that effective. I can’t start from the base. I read on tutorial that standard grip jelqing upward can work on tunical, which is hard to stretch. I would like to incorporate that in my routine.

I know some of you find standard grip much easier. Can you tell me how you do it? (especially when it comes to jelqing the base?)

It depends on you hand size, cock size, and flexibility. Some people just have a harder time doing standard ok grips, like me. :) Its hard to get a good grip because my other three fingers don’t allow me to get close enough to my base. What I do is mostly over hands like your self, but when trying to get to the Tunica, I will just do about 20-30 reps with out really getting all the way to the base. I really try and concentrate on doing these ones slow (10 seconds) and really give a good tug at the end to pull on the Tunica. I feel as long as im getting some good overhand JELQs in with those, I will be hitting the tunica, and getting a good all around JELQ session in.

I use the underhand grip. I agree that is definately harder to get to the base, but sometimes what can you do. If it isn’t natural for you isntantly it should be gradually incorporated into your routine. And after sometime it should feel comfortable.

Givethemnothing, I also have trouble doing the standard ones, so I trying mixing it up and doing some of those in between. When you do the standard ones, at which angle do you do them (up, down, straight out)?

I do them strait up, my cock is pointing up towards the ceiling. I just grab it as low as I can get, which is about a good inch or so from the base, and do a very slow and intense JELQ. At the end I hold it there and give a good tub on it in hopes of stretching the shaft rather than the ligs a little bit more. I think this helps stretch the Tunica as well. I usually don’t do to many of these, the only reason I even do them is to make sure I’m not doing any thing unevenly.

So what erection level do you maintain when you do standard jelqs? I noticed that anything less than 80% is hard to do using standard jelq.

Yes i have noticed that to. If im not over 75% erect then its almost pointless to do the standard ok grip. I JELQ at all erect levels. I believe that you get different gains from different types of stress. As long as you don’t go limp, and are able to trap blood in the glans, its a beneficial JELQ in my book.
