Tried cock ring for first time

I tried a cock ring tonight. It was rubber and was adjustable(it had a ball that could move to tighten it up as much as I wanted). I was told to make it tight and I did but I found that it looked like my veins were going to explode and my cock started to turn purpleish so I loosened it up significantly and started to have sex. When I pulled out(after about five minutes) my dick was really purple and veins looked crazy swelled. How are you supposed to wear it? Is my dick too veiny to use one?

Also, can I wear the ring around just my balls? How long can I wear it like that?

My dick gets somewhat purple and I get crazy veins. I only wear it for about 15 or so minutes and then take it off. If I go longer, I think it cuts of circulation a bit and I’m not as hard. I might put it back on another 15 minutes later after I take it off, but I need to use some lube since it is somewhat tight.

I never tried it around the balls. I always wear it just around the shaft.

Before you consider wearing a cock ring, you need to ask yourself what you are wearing it for and what kind to get. It seems to me you were trying it out during sex, in which case the loop-and-ball ring may not have been suitable.

The problem with that kind, is that once it’s on, it can’t adjust itself for a good fit - similar to a clamp, the type you were using has to be constantly adjusted by hand to suit, which makes for difficulties. The model you’re using may be useful for introductory clamping or worn loosely under pants for a while after a PE session, but when you’re having sex, you’re thrusting back and forth with little to no idea what’s going on with the cockring and how it’s affecting your penis, whcih is why you should never have sex with a clamp on IMO.

What you need are some jelly rings that come in different thicknesses and adjust themselves uniformly around the base for comfort but also decent engorgemnt - I’ve used those on occasion for sex and had a great time with them, without that nagging thought in the back of my mind of whether my cock was okay.
