I’m uncut and when I retract my foreskin my vein swells and I get uncomfortable about it. I read that you should pull back the skin while stretching/jelqing. I don’t like doing that. While it hinder my gains or will any problems arise from not doing it?

I too am uncut and I pull my foreskin back for stretches/jelqs, it was sensitive at first but I got used to it relatively quickly. Try baby powder or latex gloves to help with grip (which should improve comfort). I think if you do not pull your foreskin back then you will be more likely to stretch just skin rather than your penis. As for veins swelling that could be just the beginnings of an erection because your old fella thinks it is gonna get some from Mrs. Palmer and her Five Daughters.

Uncut jelqing/stretching, foreskin doesn't matter?

I’ve just caught-up with some threads on the methods of uncut jelqers/stretchers.

To my shock really I’ve noticed many retract the foreskin when jelqing/stretching. Indeed, I’d say the majority do this.

I do admit I have never retracted my foreskin when jelqing/stretching. I’ve seen some members asking if not retracting the foreskin hinders gains. Well, so far I’ve gained over 1.25”, so for me, it hasn’t.

I always felt it was natural to leave the foreskin in-place because that is the method shown on the videos here at Thunders.

I guess I’m saying for uncut PE’s you just have to find the right method for you.

I have tried stretching with the foreskin retracted and I feel too sensitive to hold the stretch, whereas ensuring I grip behind the glans with the foreskin retracted and feel the stretch in the ligs at the base of the penis has always felt right to me, more comfortable and I am able to hold the stretch with more force for longer.

Jelqing with the foreskin retracted is something I haven’t attempted and I will do so today and report back.

I guess to sum-up in the great uncut debate is to say there is no right or wrong way as long as you do the exercise correctly with the method you employ. Those who worry they won’t gain without retracting the foreskin, well I’m the proof that isn’t the case (picture proof in my sig).

I don’t retract either. It works fine for me.

Just to add my two cents: I’m not uncut but I do a good bit of overhang. I have been retracting to jelq but lately I’ve been pulling with the skin down. It feels like I’m getting a better stretch by grabbing it while the skin’s still down. It feels like the stretch is more down in ligs.

I haven’t started yet, but I expect that while (dry) jelqing by sliding the extra skin along might work just fine, stretching would be impossible - I’d just be pulling on skin. When the prepuce covers the glans, I can squeeze all I want, I’ll never get a grip on the actual tool inside. At most I’ll feel like I’m crushing my glans, since I don’t have a prominent enough corona to stop the grip from going forward. I think I’ll either try to retract the skin completely (which might hurt my frenulum) and pull directly on the head or forget stretching altogether and just stick with low-erection jelqs in order to get some length out of this thing.

I am uncut and this question is often on my mind.

I actually stretch with skin over glans as it’s uncomfortable to retract.

I’ve actually measured and achieve the same, if not more of a stretch with the skin over the glans due to the decreased sensitivity while doing the stretch.

I ensure I get a tight grip under the glans (with skin over) and ensure that the stretching is the unit inside, and the skin itself (IE, if beginning of stretch there’s 1.5 cm of skin over glans, there should be that amount at full stretch.)

Why anyone would want to have a larger unit but not increase the length of their skin at the same time is beyond me.

I have gained 1/2” so far in length in 4 months using this technique and have no negative effects whatsoever.

I believe cut guys on here give retract advice as hey do not fully understand how the foreskin works and assume that it’s is free to flow over the inners, and is not anchored, just as their skin is, below the glans. I’ve actually experienced on other forums negative advice through jealousy from cut guys as they don’t fully understand the situation and assume that the way they have to work should be the way for all.

I personally and proud to be uncut, I still has full sensitivity in my glans and would not risk that by squeezing it or trying to desensitize it, just to achieve a disproportionate unit to skin length ratio (which would obviously not be preferred) even if it does take a little longer.

As a Brit it’s baffling why so many men are cut, especially when there is no medical condition to warrant it. I know it’s a big thing in the US to have it done, but the foreskin is an important part of your unit, it’s there to protect the sensitivity of your unit. Aim to stretch it as you stretch your unit inside for a brilliant future with you larger unit.

I prefer doing a bit of both.

Retract for lengthening of the muscles.
Non-Retract and also grip the base to stretch the skin.

Fair enough, does appear to be any “correct” way because most PE vets are american and are usually cut.

I have measured though, several times, and I get exactly the same, if not more stretch of the actual unit (that inside the skin) with skin up than with it retracted. I don’t believe there are any positives to retracting the foreskin, but there are a huge amount of negatives and an extremely increased risk of injury.

When I’ve got my 2” gains I’ll come back to confirm ;)

The only thing I can think of with not retracting the skin is Turkey Neck syndrome and hair further up the shaft.
