vacuum pumps

I have read a lot about using pupms for enlargement purposes. I’m a bit hesitant to buy one, and being quite handy with tools, am curious to find out how to make one out of matreials lying around my house. Anyone know how or know where I can find plans for making one?

Does pumpping always increase length, or can I pump only to increase girth?
