Yeah, heat makes a huge difference. That’s why I have firegoat’s signature line memorized.

For me it was only when I hit 15kg and + mark with hanging, I started seeing positive results. And I used to hang 18lbs for max of 18-20 hours a day from which I didn’t see any gains.


Hanging heavy weights could cause injury if one is not conditioned to such weights. Before you decide to go heavy, you need to go through a conditioning process of slowly building up weights to the point when you feel comfortable. So, please take it slowly and pay attention to your wrapping technique.

Thanks for your replies guys! Yes I never used heat or warmed up so I will always do this now and I will slowly build up weight and not go to extreme! With regular rest days! Btw I hang sitting on my bed with the rope hanging off a little stool a made at the end of my bed, what do people say about sitting down and hanging?

I know this is a really old thread, but you only got results for length after hanging over 30lbs? What was the duration of your sets?
