Water Pumping mouth pressure

Is that a viable combination?

I threw away my last pump because I injured myself - I am ready to try again and water pumping seems more effective and safer than air pumping from what I have read - but apparently gauges cannot easily be used with water pumps - I have seen some reference to mouth pressure pumping - that seemed like a good idea to keep to safe pressures.. So my question is - is there a water pump out there that can be used with mouth pressure?

No experience with using mouth pressure so I’m not sure, what kind of pumping were you doing before? What was your injury?

My recommendation if you want to water pump would be to get a standard air pumping cylinder and something like this Brake Bleeder and Vacuum Pump Kit that has a pump/reservoir cup.

I water pump all the time with just a glass jar, vinyl hose, Lotion, and water. It’s really hard to over pump just by suckling on the hose but it’s possible. You really have to be in tune with your body and constantly watching to do gauge less.

I’m in the planning stages of making a reservoir myself with a mason jar and some fittings. I plan on just mounting hose barbs onto a mason jar lid and putting it in line with my pump. I only have a Mityvac but this system will need something more high volume.

2-3 years ago I ordered a Hydromax, got it in the bath, had a bit of trouble with the seal and basically wanted to get hard but couldn’t, and I just ended up pumping it up to maximum pressure which did inflate my unit. Basically I blew up my dick - it took 6+ weeks to recover morning wood. Completely insane - a master class in what not to do!

Maybe the way I will go is get a gauge, use it wet but ensure water does not enter the pump itself.. In that case will the gauge still give an accurate reading?

Yea the hydromax series is notorious for being capable of crazy amounts of pressure that you can’t monitor.

How do you maintain pressure - thumb over the end?

Most all gauges will work in water. Mine was 7.00 at the local tool supplier. Use a check valve. Cheap and easy is from Walmart. In the pet department, fish tank junk. Anti siphon valve. Less than 2.00. Start cheap and make it work. Then upgrade. Your mouth will have no problem with 5 in hg.
