When do I know PE isn't working

Hello everyone, this is my first post.

Well I just discovered this site (along with a lot of info about PE) today and I decided to give it a try. Right now, my biggest fear is that I’m going to over-do-it/hurt myself. Well, today was the first day I did the newbie routine(I hope I did it correctly) and it felt awkward and uncomfortable. If this is going to pay off in the long run (which I hope it does) then I am willing to put the time/effort in. However, the last thing I wanna do is PE for a year or so and find it had no effect. So I am wondering if there is a certain amount of time I should give myself before stopping and/or changing my PE routine.

BTW- my stats:
Start- 4/25/05
BPEL- 5.4 in
EG- 5 in

Goal:
BPEL- 6.2 in
EG- 5.5 in

PE is a commitment. You need to read up on PE technique before beginning any routine. Get yourself over to the tutorials forum and you will get an easy to follow visual explanation of all the basic newbie methods (stretching, jelquing, the basics). If today was your first day, of course it is going to feel a little awkward. It sounds like you might be questioning this is a bit (which is natural, after all everyone outside of this community says PE is “bogus”). But if you are going to give it a shot, you need to be dedicated and consistent.

Results do not come overnight for anyone. I was PE’ing for 2 months before I got my first measurable gain. You need to condition your unit for it to become adapted to PE. Once this happens, it won’t feel so awkward. I suggest that you take very accurate measurements right away. Follow the newbie routine to the letter for at least a month. At the end of that month, measure. If you have made gains, stick to what you have been doing. If you have not, up the intensity very slightly (add 50 jelqs or 5 min on your stretch time, for example).

This is your first day and it your already doubting yourself. Give it some time and read, read, read. All the answers are right here at your finger tips. If you want success prepare to be in this for the long haul (1 year plus).

I can only second the comments above by doubles. Furthermore, you need some time to get proficient in various PE techniques, so it may not work perfect from your first day on.

I personsally have been doing PE now for about 3 month and I still enhance my jelqing and stretching technique.

Personally, I watched the videos a few times, and it took me a few sessions to slip into the slight variation of style that feels most comfortable for me, and after doing it for just two weeks it now feels totally natural and comfortable. Once this is the case it really is less of a chore, in fact, it feels quite rewarding like a workout in the gym.

And I intend to just keep doing it till I gain - even if the first gains take a year! It seems the ONLY people who never gain are those who quit!

About how you said it was uncomfortable, it is indeed awkward and weird at first but after a little experience you get to know your penis(sounds weird) and how to jelq it. You learn how to do it through some time.
