When to change routines

I was wondering how long does one wait for a routine to produce gains before moving on to a new routine? A month?

If you have been doing a routine for a month and haven’t had any results, I would say it is time to ramp up either the time or intensity a bit. That is assuming you have been consistent with the routine, have been using heat, and your routine is not very intense already.

I guess it would be benificial to note that it is not uncommon that it takes more than one month for a particular routine to yield results. The reason I say that I personally would make the routine more intense or longer is because I feel that if you are working with a particular routine and you wait too long without getting any results, your next routine might not yield results either whereas it would have if you had started on it sooner (before conditioning the tissues as much). I’m sure that you would eventually reach a routine that would yield results regardless, but I feel it would be more efficient if one did not wait too long before changing a routine.
