Wrap

I was wondering about the importance of using a warm wrap. Is it ok to, on occassion, just do your routine without a wrap? Also, can jelqing in the shower act as a replacement for a wrap?

I think it’s better to use a warm, wet wrap aka “hot wrap”, but light jelqing and light stretching can also suffice beforehand for a warm-up. Just be sure to go light at first. Some do forgo the wrap entirely in favor of the warm bath or hot tub, if it works for you, go for it.

I’d say let the appearance and health of your penis dictate the warm-up or lack of. Alot of discoloration or excessive red spots on the glands (burst capillaries) may indicate that more warm-up is needed. Remember, warm tissues are easier to stretch and hot wraps/warm-ups may very well lessen the chance of irritation or injury.

Traditional “wet” warmup often kills my erections. These days to warm up I use a rice sock or light jelquing. Although some kind of warmup is absolutely necessary IMO.

I’ve only done the wrap a couple times even though it recommends it every routine. It takes too much time , can get water all over the place, and i think the evaporating water serves to cool the penis too much. I dunno alot of people use it with success. I personally lightly jelq and stretch relying on my hands to warm up the area. Dry, less prep time, can do anywhere. After PE you can keep it warm by letting your thighs or fat pad keep it warm. Thats my 2 cents.

How do you make the rice sock?

Take a sock, add ~1/2-1 liter of dry rice, tie the end, microwave

I take a very warm wet wash cloth and warp it tightly around my rod and just let it hang there all by itself. The slight tugging sensation gets me ready for my wet jelqing.
