Did I do an analysis? I’m not sure what there is to concur with yet…and that term ‘dead stretch’ was coined long before Thundersplace had popups that gave the meaning of long acronyms like WTFITSTM. For what it lacks in aesthetic appeal, BPFSL certainly makes up in clarity.

Tom Hubbard, I find it interesting that it may be possible for me to hold gains I make from hanging by dropping down to 5 minutes manual work a day. I always know when I take a break and I do a light session I almost immediately get an increase in length so I make sure to do light work in the shower before a date when I am taking a break.

I have no doubts that if you’re reconditioned and haven’t PE’ed in a long time then 5 minutes is all it will take. After a month or two you put that up to 10 minutes. After a year doing the same routine it’s going to be to much time to make gains which is when you’d move onto hanging or try different methods or take a break.

Ah, I see - yes, it’s mislabeled. Blue should be ‘start’ and red ‘end’ - sorry about that.

This actually seems like a really good experiment and I think we should get a few more people to try it out and take just as meticulous measurements.

I think that’s a great idea - maybe some people just starting out would be willing to try the simplest possible approach (for science, of course)?

I’ve been doing an almost identical stretch as my sole form of PE for a month or so myself. My session times are a bit longer, but not consistently, I just do a few minutes to half an hour of manual stretches whenever life allows it. I’ll keep you updated on my results.

Are you guys getting erect gains?

Or are they just flaccid gains?

I recently measured a 7.5 BPEL for the first time in my life - never gotten beyond 7-3/8 before.
