8" BP is average???

Kristian, I don’t know where to find the Kinsey data on the front page. But, that is Kinsey data in post 16, and Kinsey data should be the same no matter where you get it from right? :)

The data I refer to are the various links to studies that have been posted here at Thunder’s. That and the progress reports, and stats posted in most everyone’s signature line.

Oh yeah, I’m not arguing, just discussing. From what I’ve seen in the studies I would be above average in length and below average in girth. But within a range of “normal” on both. Something else that makes me wonder about the accuracy of the studies is something my doctor said once. The first time she saw my penis (granted it was about 2 - 2.5 inches when flaccid at the time). She said, “…well, I have seen worse…a couple of times” in a kind of hesitant manner. She immediately apologized and said, “I shouldn’t have said that, or said it that way.” Since the little guy was the reason I was there in the first place…she had to see it to look for signs of STD’s. Thank God, it was just stinging all the time from MS.

How many people don’t have sig lines? You can bet guys under average are more likely to avoid putting that info in there. Just like I said in regards to any self reported survey … those that don’t feel up to snuff simply aren’t going to participate.

How much fat pad do you have? 4.5” NBP is probably a bit under average (see the link I posted above to the site I quoted). If this was what you started with then yes, your wife getting 1 smaller out of 16 is reasonable. 16 is not a large sample size. Also, unless she broke out the measuring tape then the curve of shaft, the girth, and the overall shape would often create an optical illusion. So, as honest as she is being, she may not be right (unless they were all well above your length/girth in which case it would be obvious - but that seems highly unlikely).

Since she didn’t see it erect I am not sure you can really compare it against the averages based on that. Sure maybe you have a penis under average when flaccid and turtled, but that is quite a bit different than when you are erect. I haven’t seen any studies for flaccid lengths (probably because they vary so much).

I find it hard to believe the doctor could have said that — at least in reference to your size. Half the flaccid dicks in most locker rooms or nude beaches are no more than 2 or 3 inches.

Chobbs, that does make sense. I, myself am guilty of not having sig stats.

Perception does have a lot to do with it too. And no, she never got out the ruler. If she had, she’d have told me. I’m blessed to have a woman who I can discuss anything of any kind of nature with completely honestly and openly. Of course since she got with me a year and a half after our first baby was born (she’s mine, I just didn’t make her hence I say “our”), and she hadn’t been with anyone since becoming pregnant and the pussy that did it bailed, leaving her alone. Being post baby may have effected her perception of feel and size too.

She did though. Probably trying to lighten things up a bit since I was a bit embarrassed by having to drop my drawers in front of someone I also work with who is also a friend. I did tell her she’d need to get her reading glasses to see it when she told me, “…drop ‘em so I can take a look.” So I probably brought it on myself.

Since we are friends in addition to occasionally working together and her being my doctor…that’s probably where that came from.

Edit: Chobb’s post that referenced turtled made me remember something else. That was also a problem. That was back when I was fat and retracted too. I’d forgotten about that.

You guys should really check out the erectionphotos.com site. I looked through it with my wife a week or so ago. Aside from being kind of depressing (I feel bad for some of those guys) it definitely helps square away what is more typical. You know we talk about porn giving us a bad idea of size, but in reality a lot of the member pics posted here are in no way representative of average either and probably do further damage for guys that feel bad about their size.

Remember how we measure here when you look at the stats, I can only talk for my self here but when claiming to be almost 14”, I must say that I may be exaggerating just a tiny bit :rolleyes:

littlehobo, I don’t have my stats in a sig either. Not small, and not big … currently 6 1/4 x 5 3/8 on the ruler. The girth and an upward curve make it look smaller to me as I look down at it than it really is though. I posted pics from my first round of PE in the modified newbie routine thread, but it was to illustrate the worth of the routine and not to show off a big dick like many of the pics that seem to get posted.

Littlehobo, perhaps the doc was talking about your flaccid girth — 2”, according to your starting stats. That’s rather more unusual than a 2.5” length. Sounds like your erect girth is perfectly average now, though — so congrats on the gains, and keep it up!

You should sue her for malpractice.
