Sorry for bumping a thread that is almost 13 years old, but I wanted to be sure about this.
You should always avoid putting stress or pressure on the top side of the penis to avoid the dorsal nerve? I am really curious about it because I was searching information about the V-Jelq and I saw there were 2 versions of it.
1) Was putting the hand like the Vulcano salute (Captain Spock symbol) and to put pressure on the CC
2) Was more like a “pincher gesture” and one finger puts pressure on the CS and the other one on the top of the penis.
And I read other comments that said that jelqing should focus on putting pressures on the CC:

The important thing is that the pressure is on the sides of the shaft. The CCs are side by side in your penis, you should be trying to deform them with your grip but still allow blood past your grip as you progress up the shaft. People do use top to bottom pressure and get results, most notably with a power jelq style device but the top of the penis is more delicate and top to bottom pressure works the CS harder, so even this type of device might be better used vertically.
