Thanks tntj, I thought I’d pump while on the break, so as to maintain my length and give my girth a little boost to keep me motivated.
I visited the doctor today and it seems it’s a thrombosed vein. There was a chance it was a lymph vessel but since I explained I could feel a network of hard vessels directly after hanging it seems it’s probably a vein.
He was pretty honest with me about advice, telling me that generally doctors won’t be able to give you any information or advice specific to hanging, as there’s currently not a widely practiced medical procedure that involves hanging weights from the penis, that kind of thing, for the most part, is really beyond the scope of current medical practices and so the information just isn’t available (my words not his (paraphrasing/interpreting)). He said the most doctors would just default to the default response— that you shouldn’t do it.
He was quite curious as to hanging but when I asked him about clamping he was literally just immediately adamant that you shouldn’t do it. He also said that it could cause deformation that can leave you without sensation (which is something else to add to the list of reasons not to clamp).
He also much preferred the idea of me using a vacuum hanger rather than a clamp style hanger (after I explained the principles behind both (I took my hanger and ADS with me to show to him)).
I’ve been prescribed a topical cream to apply three times daily and have made an appointment to visit again after ten days.
