That’s interesting. I have been able to wear it for hours at a time (10-12 daily), for the past 4 months by doing the following:
1) All four bars parallel to one another, creating about 1-1/2” surface area contact. Not like the photo on MB’s site. I never tried crossing the bars. I prefer the greater surface area.
2) I wear it “upside-down” compared with the photo on MB’s site. IOW, the ends of the bars face outward, not hidden under.
3) I always make sure the bars are bent circularly so they have full contact all the way around.
4) I do not place it 1” behind the glans. I pull back the skin behind the glans first. No skin is bunched in front of it or underneath. The first bar is wrapped behind the glans, but very close to it. I make sure the remaining bars are placed as closely as possible to the one before it.
5) When done, I run my hand around to make sure the bars are circular.
