Average Penis Size, Revisited

This has been discussed often. There is no correlation between the size of the penis and height. That being said, we can´t say a 6’2” guy is likely to have a bigger penis than a 5’3” guy, nor the opposite.

Average penis size for short men is similar to the average penis size for tall men.

That has been prooved by science, so there’s no way we can deny it. General body growth and penis growth take different courses, that’s why there is no correlation between both.

All the studies I’ve seen until today showed exactly what I am saying, except one. This one said there is a slight difference in penis size between tall men and short men. However, the difference was less than 1/2 inch.

I see that in this link there is an article provided from NBC news where a urologist name Bales is headlined to have said there is no relation in height and penis size. But when reading the article it turns out no numbers are provided and that he said there is no "obvious" correlation. I can’t help but notice that NBC left that word out in the headlines (and of course didn’t ask for numbers to check). Headline news are difficult to trust for accuracy as bias is in place in many news reports throughout the day. There is a thread at Thunder’s about CNN reporting that the average penis size is 5". They latched onto the smallest results study (except for a Korean study) around, and left all the others out that show bigger. Then they rounded it down from 5.25 to 5.

As OneHungLo pointed out, it’s pretty much assumed that NBA players would likely have the biggest schlongs. I think Madonna pretty much confirmed this when she dated an NBA team many years ago. There must be some correlation between height and penis size on some level. Maybe not when comparing someone 5’8 with someone 6”, but when guys get over 6’3”, their hands get big enough to palm the basketball, their shoe sizes approach size 15+, and I would guess their dicks get a hell of a lot bigger too.

A friend of mine in HS’s step-father was a former NBA player (he’s 6’8”), and he said he saw him come out of his mom’s bedroom one night nude and his flaccid dick just about hung to his knees.

No wonder women seem to all find tall men sexually appealing (i.e. “tall, dark, handsome” - with tall coming first). I bet there’s some sublimenal feeling they have that tall men are big in every way, whether he is or isn’t. One thing seems common - women seem surprised when they find out their tall dates aren’t big down there, as if they assumed he would be.

The shoe size was way off. I wear a 10.5…look at my stats!

That is telling, as Madonna is a card carrying size queen. Some of her reported statements are listed at Thunder’s. I don’t really doubt the reports as I’ve seen indication from her that appears to back it up. I saw her on the Arsenio Hall show many years back when she was hitched to Warren Beatty. Arsenio Hall asked her what it was about Beatty that attracted her, and her immediate reply was his being hung. I also saw her on HBO in concert and at some point the topic of penis size came up, and she held her hands over a foot apart indicating her size queenness.

:) I didn’t see it myself, but my friend told me this, and seemed sort of disturbed by it. His mom had been cheating on his father with this guy. She then left his dad and then later took her four kids to the NBA guy’s house, eventually marrying him. If you could see this stepfather of his, he is so tall his knee is probably actually 20” from the base of his penis. :D

Whether my friend was just in shock - leading to a hazy recollection and overestimation - I’m not sure. I guess that experience could leave most adolescent boys confused and dumbfounded. :D

The poll in the first link is totally inaccurate, I’m sorry to say (I don’t know if that’s the right word, inaccurate… I want to say that it is not statistically significant, that is, you cannot conclude anything based on that poll).

That is totally incorrect! There is no correlation between height, size of hands, size of legs, etc etc and penis size, because they follow different growth pathes. You just have to ask any doctor that is familiar with human embriology/development (or an anatomist) and he will explain you that.

You could find a NBA player with a huge penis and you could find a NBA player with a tiny penis… same as the rest of the population.

Now, you are right. Most women assume a BIG guy (I mean, really tall and/or buff) most probably has a big penis! And they do get surprised when they find out their tall date is not big down there. That’s why I call it a myth… a myth that comes from ignorance! But please, don’t take this in the wrong way, I am not insulting anyone, it’s just that few people have studied human embriology/development/anatomy, so they don’t know what they are talking about.

And you are also right when you said women find tall men more sexually appealing. I don’t agree that “tall” comes first then “handsome” though.

It is not correct, that’s what you should say.

It’s hard for me to explain it, cause english is not my native language, and I don’t want to seem like I’m being arrogant not accepting other guys’ opinions… but in this case, you are totally incorrect, because skeletal growth takes a different course than penile tissue growth. That is, there is no correlation between those (at least, no correlation that leads to statistically significant differences between penis size in tall men and in short men).

This is similar to the discussion about whether caucasian men have smaller penises than black men. But in this case, there is a difference that is statistically significant. Black men have bigger penises than caucasian men and these have bigger penises than oriental men. However, the difference is a lot smaller than what most people think. Like, a 1/2 inch difference, at most.

Honestly, those surveys can’t be right. They seem about 1.5 inches shy of the “other” surveys. I have always thought that 6 was the average in the US—5 seems a bit short. Perhaps this [survey] was created to make all of us feel better about ourselves.

Strange how skewed ones view of their penis can be. I always thought that I was a bit “thin” around.and have never actually measured my circumference.come to find out that I’m dead on average. Same goes for the length, I thought I was average, come to find out I’m above average. (Going by the more standard averages, not the one linked in this thread—I.e. Higher averages).

But in watching porn, I feel.shall we say inadequate. I understand that when a man chooses to do porn, it certainly helps his decision if he is well-endowed.so the average penis size in porn is most likely larger.
