Bigger than my DVD box (7.5")

I have finally hit 1” but only in FSL. Started in September last year and have gone from just over 6.5 FSL to just over 7.5FSL. Started at 6.5BPEL and am at 7.125BPEL and had a slight injury in november so cut down a bit.

But the real bonus is I am bigger than the side of a DVD box which I was measuring against when I started and hadnt’ used once since. Then last night I checked and it is just a bit longer. It is a real boost to see it in real terms, comparing against an object to really bring it home. I kew I was gaining, but like many find, it still seems to look the same size, the measuring tape didn’t lie but it is great to have some other item as a goal. When I started the top of that box seemed a very long way off. I have heard of guys cutting down rulers to their goal size and now think it is a great idea. I will keep my box until my EL reaches the top.

Any other common items out there usful for measuring against?

1” in length is also the goal that I want to reach this year. 1/2” would be great though!

DVD box is great for comparison.
I used a handy/cell phone for my photo here in the “members pics” area.
I will scale my future pictures to fit with the handy size to see gains :)

Here at home I also have a box for the front panel of my car radio.
I’m a little bit shorter now and my goal is to be the same length.

Other items that come to my mind are books, glases, toilet paper roll, envelopes….

I have 2 remote controls that are useful. One is 7.5 inches and the other is 8.5. I’m right inbetween the two FSL. I use the short one to measure when I want to feel good about my gains. I use the longer one when I want motivation.

The DAMN Edge shaving gel can in my shower is 7” X 6.75”. It is my nemesis for girth. I have finally beaten it in length buy .25”.
