Circumference shape MATTERS!!!

Hey everyone,

I was just thinking the other day about an interesting (to me atleast) phenomenon that occurs to the area of shapes with respect to their perimeters. On this website, people often mention their size obviously, and have “x” length and “y” girth. It is with these two measurements that one can calculate their volume, and get an idea of their size. The length measurement is pretty standard, and self explanatory, however…. the girth measurement is not the same for everyone as their penis shape may differ. What I am ultimately saying is, GET THIS, someone with a girth measurement of 5.4”, could definitely be larger than someone with a girth of 5.6” let say. This will occur if their penis shape (when viewed from the end) more nearly resembles a circle!

Here is the math to prove it for those of you doubters :P.

When you measure your girth, you are measuring the distance around your unit, and are thus essentially taking the perimeter. To calculate the area of a circle one must square the radius, and then multiply by pi (roughly 3.14). So, operating on the premise that someone’s penis has a radius of exactly 1”, their cross-sectional area would be 3.14 square inches ( 3.14*1*1). Now, their girth would be their perimeter, which since we are operating on the premise it is perfectly circular, it would be the circumference. The circumference of a circle is pi multiplied by the diameter (which is one radius plus another). So in this example their circumference would be 6.28” (3.14*2”). So for person #1, he has a girth of 6.28” which yields him an area of 3.14” squared.

Now, a second man has the same girth, as he is also 6.28”. However, this man’s unit is shape exactly like a square, and is essentially 1.57” across, and 1.57” down (1.57” + 1.57” + 1.57” + 1.57” = 6.28”). The cross-sectional area of his penis is 1.57” squared or 2.4649” (1.57” * 1.57” = 2.4649”).

So, guy #1 and guy #2 in this example both had a girth of 6.28”, but guy #1 had an area of 3.14” squared, while guy #2 had an area of 2.4649” squared. Therefore guy #1’s penis actually has a cross-sectional area that is 27% bigger DESPITE having the same size girth!!!

Just thought this whole thing was sort of neat!

For the record, if you have a girth of size “X”, the biggest area you could create would be if your penis were perfectly circular. Then as it became less and less circular you would be losing area. A perfectly square penis would sort of be the second place, and then as it becomes more and more rectangular shaped it would lose even more area.

An analogy would be if you were given 40 feet of fencing, and asked to make the biggest enclosure possible. If you were a hell of a carpenter and were able to make a perfectly circular fence, you could enclose an area of 127 square feet. If you chose to build a square enclosure (10x10), then it would be 100 square feet. As you grew more rectangular you would lose even more space. If you built the fence as 15x5, then you would only have 75 square feet. If you were really foolish, you could build it as 19x1, and then only have 19 square feet. I’m sure you guys get the idea :) .

Anyways, that’s basically my daily rant. If you read it all, congratulations, if not, get back to your jelqing!!!

Wow. I read it all, hehe. That’s interesting, I hadn’t really thought of it since my cock is practically completely circular.

Good post.

Yes, it’s nice to know that I’m even smaller than I previously thought. Damn this oval penis of mine to hell. Oh well, that’s life.

Goal: To gain that evasive girth I so desperately need.

Consider this.

With respect to possessing average girth, it may be more pleasurable for your partner if you have a greater diameter on the X axis than Y.

This would give the girl the feeling of being more stretched in one dimension.

Of course, an EG of 6+ with a perfectly cyndrical cock would see you have the best of most worlds….

Very good post! You should calculate the difference between a circular penis and an elliptical one. I’d do it but I’m too lazy!

A good point, Gimli, and a good explanation!

Yeah I want to know also

Hi G,

I understand what you are saying, but don’t have the math to understand how you explain it. Never mind.

Maybe you can answer this for me, because I am really stumped.

When I measure girth (mid-shaft) with a string and pen mark, I get a shade over 5.5 inches even when the string is “relaxed” along the ruler. I also wrap it firm, rather than loosely around the shaft. I figure this gets a minimum measurement.

Occasionally, when in a different place, I measure with a tape, same place, same pressure, but can only get a shade under 5.5 inches.

When I have compared the two, on the same day, on the same penis, within seconds of each other, the tape always measures smaller than the string.

The tape measures the same as the solid ruler that I check the string against.

How come?

I would have thought that the tape would measure bigger, as it wouldn’t follow the circumference as accurately.

I can’t see that this is of any real use to anyone, it just puzzles the hell out of me.

The only problem that would come of this is that there is no one equation for an ellipse. An ellipse has 2 variables in it, the X and Y (for it’s height and width). As such, there are MANY different equations that are capable of producing only ONE girth. This differs from a circle and a square as they each only have one variable that produces a specific girth (radius for the circle, and a side length for a square).

In more simpler terms;

If I am thinking of a specific circle, you only need to ask one question to draw the exact circle I am thinking of. You would just need to ask, “What is the length of the radius?”.

If I am thinking of a specific square, you only need to ask one question to draw the exact square I am thinking of. You would just need to ask, “What is the length of one side?”.

If I am thinking of a specific ellipse, you must ask TWO questions. How wide is it, and how tall is it.

In general, for maximum cross-sectional area, the shape most desirable would be something like this:

Circle —-> Ellipse —-> Square —-> Rectangle

In actuality, everyone is basically going to have something that is very nearly an ellipse, and it is just a matter of how close to the perfect circle is it.

I think it’s better to be oval…. For one it looks larger from a top view (most likely where a women would be seeing it) and also it puts more pressure laterally on a woman’s vagina which is where they actually feel the “girth” of a penis. A lot of girls don’t care about the girth or thickness of the penis, they will ask you “hmm… well how wide is it?” or “yea and it was really wide!”. I don’t know…. I like my flat penis haha.

Good point.

My glans are wider than my shaft at mid point. And around almost 6” at the base.

So maybe girth should be measured at the widest point of the penis, this could be anywhere.

Speak softly carry a big dick, I'm mean stick!

I don’t think it really matters whether the penis is elliptical or circular. It’s really about surface area. An elliptical penis with a 6.0” girth will stretch the vagina the same as a circular penis with a 6.0” girth. The only benefit is going to be the feeling of weight of the circular penis.

To be blunt, no it won’t. The “stretching” will come directly from the area, as that directly effects the volume. I see where your coming from though.
