It’s because he speaks Spanish too you know, albeit not your usual Spanish, no it seems fair to say it’s a regional Anglo-Spanish variation, I expect it was washed ashore with the survivors of The Armada, it must have been to reach England in that state, anyway it obviously survived in small pockets here and there and is still with us today. I think it might be called Ye Olde Spanish Tongue, but I’m not absolutely sure seeing as I’m more of an Anglo-French speaker myself, if there is such a thing.
