Could moderate jelqing cause nerve damage?

Could moderate jelqing cause nerve damage?

Has anyone ever experienced nerve damage from doing just light to medium jelqing and manual stretching? Not short term damage (like a couple of days) but damage that takes more than 3 weeks to heal?

SuperStroker

Not that I know of I have been around for close to two years and I can’t think of one person who has had long term nerve damage from normal jelqing. Also just so you know if you get major nerve damage it’s going to take alot more than three weeks to get better.

Hard to say.

I browse a few boards and the complaints of numbness from manual stretching and jelqing are not uncommon. Reason it’s “hard to say” is that it can be difficult to sus out exactly what a person was doing to themselves. One persons light jelq may be another’s dick detachment nightmare. Also hard to know if it’s actually nerve damage of a major variety. Might just be swelling or irritated tissues around the nerve that fucks-up the nerve’s normal function. I think alot of this occurs because some folks read instructions or a manual and think that it is a saftey net against injuries. Almost as if something is prescribed or recommended, there is no potential for injury and they overdo things a bit. Prudence and caution are your best allies if you want to avoid this type of situation. If something doesn’t feel right or hurts, DON’T do it s’more…it will likely have bad results for you. groa

Superstroker,

I had the same concern as you when starting out. One thing that I did was subscribe to a pay site run by a physician. His program was nothing spectacular, however, I could see the medical wisdom in his approach. He strongly advocated the use of moist heat. 5 min before - 5 min in the middle and 5 min at the end. I also have a friend that is a Urologist (he is also into PE and that still amazes me). He also stressed using moist heat. I have been using moist heat generously since I started and have had no problems other than a thrombosed vein - and I used moist heat and massage to get rid of that! Hopefully, this advice will help you.

Best of luck

Jelktoid, tell us more how you go about the moist heat thing. I’d like to try it. What is the best way to get the hot water (microwave, stove, sink)? I will be doing this for hanging. ;)

On the jelqing thing - my guess is that it is really over-zealous stretching. I have a fairly safe jelq stroke (my palms in is completely safe, my palms out leaves a gap over the dorsal). But I know that it’s quite tempting to really clamp down behind the head when you are doing manual stretching. Personally, it’s becoming my least favorite exercise to do. Certainly I don’t do it very aggresively now.

Hey Buster,

When I jelq (about 3 times a week), I take a hand towel and immerse it in very hot water. I wring it out and try not to scald my hands. Then (the towel is folded to a quarter of its size) I wrap the towel around my sac, member and over the ligs (cause I also stretch when I jelq. Before hanging, I do the same thing, but I then take the towel and cover a heating pad with it (it does better with the towel folded in half). I then place the towel and heating pad over the lig area. I do this for the first set on the AM and PM. Hope this helps.

Happy hangin

Moist heat: When I did do PE, I filled the sink with hot water, and let a washcloth soak for about a minute. 5 minutes before workout and 5 minutes after. Worked good for me!

The reason I asked this question is because I did PE for 2 months. I have not done any PE for 3 weeks. I never had any pain or felt like I might have nerve damage. I always stopped before the head when I jelqed, and I never jelqed for more than 25 minutes if that. I seemed to have the same sensations as before PE. But then I couldn’t get or stay hard for sex. I now know that that was psychological and tension related, but I stilled wondered if maybe PE had damaged my nerves in some way because after 3 weeks, I’m hard as a rock.

I mainly started PE just to have a new hobby. I ended up gaining a bit, and I’d like to start again, but I was just wondering if anyone else had nerve damage from just basic stretching and jelqing.

Superstroker,

I’m glad to hear it’s back to normal again. It’s easy for me to say this, but you might want to try it again and see how it goes. I would as long as you don’t do banzai PE, you should be OK. I’d personally like to hear how it goes for you.

Hey BusterHymes! The first time I saw your screen name, I about pissed myself I was laughing so hard :)

Anyway, my girl is away for a few days so I think I might do some light jelqing and stretching until she gets back. Probably about 10 minutes of jelqing a night. I really think my erection problem was tension related, but I’d like to know once and for all if PE was the problem. I’ll keep you posted!

I am gonna walk the penis (I mean ‘plank’) on this one and say you find out it wasn’t PE. But we’ll see.

OK, I am glad you figured out the name. Maybe some others did, also.

So some light jelqing will really improve your circulation, and thus your flaccid hang. So what ya do - stand over her on the bed like she’s your prey and just swing that bad boy back and forth by rocking your hips - make her anticipate it. You show her you’re KING, boy! If you have that heavy flaccid look, see if it gets her hotter. I mean, ya gotta make ‘em crave your dick, you know?

I used to do that to my ex, sometimes letting her know she was about to get a royal flushing. And every time she knew, “here it comes”….

But let me guess - you’ll be sprouting wood from the get-go, right? :)
