Cyclic AMP

Would someone be able to explain how cyclic AMP fits into the process of an erection? It’s easy to find information on cyclic GMP, but I’m not sure about cyclic AMP yet.

iIf cyclic AMP is present in the penis, in normal amounts for an erection, does this mean there should be an erection?

Why is cyclic GMP AND cyclic AMP needed for an erection?

Why are you concerned with this?

Cyclic AMP grows nerves in vitro. So if I apply something to my penis I need an indication to know whether it has definitely accumulated.

I applied my own concoction the other day for a few days, and I became extremely arousable until I used my Fleshlight. I thought I was truly onto something, but now the effect is very mild, if at all, and I’m not sure if it is working.
