Deconditioning break

At this point it feels like I have maxed out and gains have come to a halt. Rather then going into extreme methods that might cause even more conditioning, I’ve chosen to decon and come back later and start a light routine all over again. In the meantime, I will work on reducing fatpad.

Is there any advice anyone can offer, for those who have taken decon breaks before?

Like knowing when to come back, how much decon is enough etc.

I think in your case a 6 weeks span is all you need to decondition your penis, since you’ve been active for just 8 months.

What about getting back into it, would it be wise to start out with the newb routine? What about the intensity?

Yes it’s always wise start with a basic manual routine and a light intensity. The progress ratio can be slighter higher than for an absolute beginner.

A couple of suggestions:

Measure accurately now to get a good starting baseline.

If you see your dimensions decreasing, it’s a good time to resume.

I’ve heard it suggested that you measure your BPFSL, and that on a decon break, you may see an increase. (Good for you if that happens; I’ve never had a BPFSL increase from a decon break, but perhaps you will.) If you do, you might want to keep the decon break going as long as your BPFSL is increasing.
