did anyone get penis infections as a kid?

I did. I used to get infections in my dick every so often, which caused a LOT of pain. The penis head would be swollen and very sore. Eventually puss would build up in a small pocket and leak out of the creese between the head and the shaft and I would squeeze it all out in tremendous discomfort. My mum even had to take me to a doc once because it was so bad.

I was wondering how common this is during childhood and how many of you, if any, experienced this as a child. It might have possibly been because I had a foreskin, like most boys in the UK, but unlike most in the US. It might have trapped some nasty bacteria or something, between the foreskin.

I haven’t had any penis infections since childhood luckily. I am wondering if the penis is more prone to infections during child hood, just like a child is prone to lots of infections, until their immune system has built up enough experience of what infections are and how to ward them off effectively. I also used to get a lot of tonsilitus and dreadful ear infections as a child but not as an adult.

I do, however, have what seem to be almost microscopic specks of white dotted in a line, around the very bottom edge of the head, next to where it meets the creese between the head and the shaft. They are on the top side, as I look down at my penis. They look like tiny puss pockets. Or tiny cholesterol pockets. I think they are puss. They never seem to go and yet I wash the area very regularly and thoroughly. There is no discomfort and they are very hard to notice, so I don’t feel the need to take action of any kind. It’s just odd that they are always there and never go.

I would like to hear some other opinions about these topics.

The only infection I’ve ever had on my penis is when a cat hair managed to get inside of my dick when I was a kid. The infection was horrible, and the meatus closed up. The doc shoved a small metal wire like thing down my dick. ;(

Pearly Penile Papules. According to this article they are common in uncircumcised men with the incidence ranging from 30 to 40%. They are not cancerous nor will they spread to other people and are considered normal.

Well, we couldn’t figure out how the cat hair got in my dick. We had a big white cat that I always played with, and somehow I managed to get a cat hair right in my piss hole. It got infected and all gross and slimy, and then the meatus closed up and I couldn’t piss or anything.

No infections, although my foreskin did become painfully tight as a teenager, it was of considerable discomfort so I was considering circumcision but, due to my strong feelings against circumcision, I waited it out and the problem thankfully resolved itself.

In other words, I took the typical male approach and avoided the Doc. :P

I’ve had an infection as a child. My foreskin couldn’t be pulled back, my parents just thought I had a tight foreskin. When I became a teenager I discovered that the foreskin was actually attached to the left side of my penis head. After a few years with regular masturbation it seemed that the foreskin was less attached. One day I pulled the foreskin completely apart from the head. It bled a little and was slightly painful. And there was a lot of smegma. Yuck. But I was really happy that I could now pull my foreskin back and I never got a scar from it.

I read the medical term for this condition in a paper once. Can’t remember it or find it on google.

The foreskin is adhered to the glans at birth. That’s normal. And it’s one of the reasons that parents of uncircumcised boys should NOT attempt to retract the foreskin. It usually separates within the first few years of life. If it hasn’t by age 4 or 5, then a pediatrician should be consulted. He may say that nothing should be done as it will eventually separate. Yours was apparently “stuck” in one place. This might have contributed to the infection you had. It’s good that you were able to free it yourself. I confess I don’t know if a stuck foreskin has an official name. A tight foreskin is called phimosis and this condition might be grouped under that name.
