Hell guys, just give her what you’ve got. Make it bigger and give her that.

Stop worrying so damn much.

Bone pressed is NOT simply a PE term. I’ve had girls talk to me about penis size and measuring from the pubic bone. For a more culturally sound reference, check out the television show Rescue Me, starring Dennis Leary. In one episode, all the guys from the firehouse put money on who has the bigger dick after two of the guys claim to have larger than average units.

Lieutenant Shea questions the two claiming to have larger units and finds out that they measured the underside of their shafts. He then proceeds to stipulate that all men must measure along the center of the top of the shaft from the pubic bone to the tip. He even reiterates himself after stating the rules saying, “pubic bone to tip” multiple times in summation.

These are two examples I can think of from my day to day life (which doesn’t involve all that much actual face-to-face talk about dick size). The method of measuring BP is by no means confined to the PE community.

You’re kidding me! They actually did that on an American TV show?

I guess if it were cable they might have got away with it but I can’t imagine you’d have been watching it on any of the ‘Big 3’ networks. If they did I’m sure the network switchboard would have drowned under the tidal wave of complaints.

I always think it’s hilarious that most of ‘Middle America’ will have a collective seizure if they see Janet Jackson’s nipple but the same mob won’t bat an eyelid if they show a bag of liquefied human remains being emptied out on a slab on CSI.

Go figure.

PS - GG what was the name of the episode? I’d like to try and get a copy and see for myself.

Interesting, cant believe you would see something like that on TV. I wonder if theyve heard of PE before, afterall jelqing has been around a long time. Why would someone think to measure BP for the hell of it? The “what you see is what you get” is what most people would measure. Ive talked to just a few people about PE and when I try to explain the difference in NBP and BP they had no idea people even measured this way. Maybe this is why so many of the reports are screwed up and not accurate? Difference in measuring techniques perhaps?

Our experiences are different. Plus, until your post, I’ve never read or heard of a woman mentioning any of the terms - fatpad, pubic bone, pubic skin. Not even here at Thunder’s when guys speak of their experiences with women (except perhaps women members who were replying to comments and speaking our language). I believe that, at least with the vast majority of women, what they see is what they think of as a guy’s size being.

Though I’ve heard about women measuring with a ruler or tape measure, it’s apparent only a small percentage have. I’ve more often heard of some women using her hands as a gauge (by knowing the measurement of her hand). Then it’s more discreet. I don’t think most women fool with knowing their own palm width though. The ones that do, I doubt they are trying to push their sideways hand down to the pubic bone.

Got any charts to support that? I could show charts that don’t support it.

Johnno’s point is accurate as far as I’m concerned. The truth is that measurement is less determinative in actuality than the response from your partner. I have gotten several unsolicited “it’s huge” comments and no one has ever asked the actual size at the time they made the comment. My girlfriend asked after we had been together for around three months. I asked her to guess and she guessed 9-10” in length and “very wide.” The true numbers are 8” bpel and approximately 6 1/8” mid shaft eg (clamping seems to really work well for me).

Most women are really bad guessers at dick size unless they see a ruler right beside it. My wife thought mine was close to 8”s when we first started dating. I of course was happy with the thought of this but after showing her a true NBP measurement I was only 6.5 or so at the time. This makes me realize that our previous conversations about an old ex of hers that she thought was 9”s, was probably closer to 7.5-8” which really eased my mind. Even for the ones that truely know the exact size of their bf/husband Im sure when talking to their gf’s about it the conversation doest go like this, “well, my man is 7.5” bone pressed but his insertable penis is 6.5.” They go by what their eyes see for the most part and not lies beneath a layer of fat.

Measuring on Rescue Me

Longwidehard asked about the name of the episode. Appropriately enough, it was entitled "Inches". The synopsis on Wikipedia http://en.wikip edia.org/wiki/L … _%28season_1%29 says "A conversation between Mike and Sean prompts the Chief to announce the "Biggest Dick in the House" contest."

It’s the eighth episode from Season One, and Season One is available on DVD.

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

When I came to realize that some women know of measuring from the pubic bone, the conversation went like this:

Myself, my house-mate, and a mutual female friend that we’ve known since high school were talking about all things sexual. This was shortly after I came out, within my own group of friends, as being bisexual (a very annoying experience overall). So my house-mate and I are getting into this conversation about sexual positions and came around to talking about reverse cowgirl and how it’s nice when a girl has a nice curvy ass and that through down the middle of her back (god damn that’s sexy). During this, my female friend pipes in that reverse cowgirl is great, but not if the guy has a short cock because it slips out too often and you can’t get a rhythm going that will get her off.

Naturally this comment resulted in a conversational diversion to penis size. Eventually it came around to her asking each of us how big we are. Being fairly sexually open among my friends (I’ve recommended this site to a few), I started to explain to her that the length I report to her all depends on what method of measuring I use. Before I get into measuring methods.. like never measuring along the bottom and then into NBP/BP, she cuts me off and says something like, “You measure from the pubic bone, right?” I remember thinking, “wow… this girl knows how to measure a cock.”

I didn’t think to ask her where she came across this measuring methodology because I was somewhat focused on her response to the size of my cock, but I will the next time I see her. I’m actually fairly interested now because of this thread.

Personally, I think the BP measurement is the best measurement to use assuming you have a reasonably average body fat %. It allows a point of reference from which to measure and reduces error in measurement. I can’t see the downside to using the BP measurement comparatively (if you actually care to compare) assuming it’s universally accepted.

You’re right, a woman that knows the BP length of her partner isn’t going to tell her girls that he is X inches BP. She will likely say that he is simply X inches. According to many Thunder’s users, there are girls that measure along the underside of a guy’s cock or along the side. I somehow doubt they say, “He’s X inches along the bottom.”

That’s the one. Wikipedia messed up though. It’s not the chief that announces the contest.. in fact, he doesn’t even involve himself in it. It’s Lieutenant Shea that spearheads the whole thing.

Agreed. The four women I have talked to in some depth about penis size have used their hands to show how big certain penises are. Things like, “I had both my hands on his shaft and there was this much and then his head still.” or, “He was this big around.” while making a “C” or an “O” using her thumb and forefinger depending on how much girth she recalls.
