Doctor's site

Welcome tick, we hope you’ll stay around.

TV docs are welcome of course. Volunteers are a must. Monty - I read your contribution before - very interesting.

I am not a doctor, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night.

Doc would you mind physiologically giving details as to what exactly happens when a vein thrombosis’s such as is it reversible, is it a permanent hardening of the vein wall and is the danger just impotence or is there also a risk of things like embolism and stroke? I’m a seven week newbie and would also participate in a scientific study. Thanks.

Welcome aboard ticktockclock,

It’s great to have physicians on the board. I’m sure you have a lot to offer the community.

So tick, I was wondering what made you decide to consider PE? Did it have something to do with a 50ieth B-day coming up? For me, my half century mark was a time for many changes in my life as far as both PE and getting healthy goes.

Hey ticktick, I’m actually a premed student and looking to go into dermatology later… either way what I’ve seen here definitely deserves some attention from the medical community at least as a novelty due to the extreme taboo surrounding it. I’m proud to say we have many intellectual men here with a great deal of accumulated knowledge, not to mention camaraderie, which provides for an overwhelmingly warm and down-to-earth place to voice your personal experiences and oppinions about a practice that would otherwise be looked down upon by the general public. Any information you can provide from a professional perspective would be much appreciated!

ticker,

Heat… you need some heat. And where’s the porn?

mcdeal

Jprent - dam rite, yea, 50. Coming up soon. I am now 48, in great shape, new girlfriend who thinks that PE is completely unneccessary in my case. We’ll see what she will think about it in 365 days or so.

Regarding penis vein thrombosis -there is now danger of relevant pulmonary embolism because the amount of thrombotic material (even in a very big dick) is very small compared to the capacity of your lungs. Stroke is impossible for most people, there is a rare case of people with a cardiac anomaly (open foramen ovale) who may experience a stroke from venous thrombosis. If you are afraid you could be one of these guys consult a cardiologist and have him check your heart sounds to begin with.

John - sorry I forgot - venous thrombosis may dissolve completely but permanent damage to your dick is possible. So be careful, in particular with clamping and ulis, read everything in here: monitor your dick - color - esp. Black, temperature - ice cold, sensations like tickling and in particular pain indicate potential problems. Read everything in here, it is not systematically arranged but if you spend an hour or so in here every day, during a few months, you will know what you need to know.

Don’t know if this has been said yet. I am not a Doctor but I like to play it.

Welcome to Thunder’s Place. Just wanted to make sure this wasn’t an error. Did you mean “now” or “low” or “no”? Thanks!

sorry for the typo - no danger

Thanks for the information. It’s too early for me to start clamping I just like to be as informed as I can be. That’s what’s great about this site. The other ones I’ve been on aren’t set up for questions and answers other than what is already printed. By the way I’m healthy and see a doctor regularly for check ups.
