my routine

I hang only, usually I will hang 3, 20 minute sessions anite, 5 nites aweek. Sometimes when time permits I will get an extra 20 minute session in during the day also. I usually hang straight down while sitting or straight out by hanging the weights over the rail on a bar stool while sitting.

I started out hanging 3 lbs just to get used to it and I moved up little by little, once I hit around 5 pds I beleive, is when I noticed the major gain in flacid length. I went to 6 pds and then thats when I lost the extra length on flacid. I know it doesn’t make much sense to me either. Funny part is for the fun of it I went back to 4 pds for about 2 weeks and sure enough I started gaining the extra length back on the flacid measurement.

I didn’t figure it was doing the ligs anygood so I went back to 6 pds and I lost it again ;-) I am now hanging only 8 and 1/2 pds, I seem to gain better with less weight than I do with alot. not sure why, my thought is that with less I am actually stretching the ligs and not micro tearing them.

I must admit though I haven’t noticed any gains going from 6 to 8 1/2 pds though. I can feel the stretch for sure but after 2 months nothing, I usually stay with the weight until I no longer feel it in the ligs or I notice a gain.

BTW, I am 38 yrs old. Not sure if its age, genetics etc.

I find that my BPFL is greater right after some Blasters.

But it soon shrinks back 1/2 an inch! (within 10 minutes)

I took a break for a while. It’s a long story, but I’ve done some stretching for the last say 6 weeks. I have noticed that my fsl is about 5/8 inch longer than my bpel. I did notice before I started on my quest of increased pe that these numbers we’re nearly similar. So I assume that if I keep up the work I will likely see a good increase in my bpel.

I have found that I can generally have a fsl about 1/4 inch better than my bpel right before I see a bpel change of about the same amount and it usually follows within a week or so. It’s always very exciting. In general, my non-stretched f length is about 2in less than my bpel at any given time.


why on earth wasn’t I doing this when I was 16?

My BPEL has always lagged behind my flaccid stretched length—by an inch or so. The BPEL has taken as long as several months to catch up, though. But it does eventually so long as you keep at it.
