My wife frequently gets urinary tract infections (UTI) and this is how she describes the way UTI’s feel. UTI’s are much less common in men than in women, but men can still get them. The only way to cure one is with antibiotics and your doctor can do tests to see if it is a UTI. You generally have to tell them to test for a UTI because there are different bacteria that cause them and doctors don’t usually test unless you ask.
If this is a UTI you need antibiotics. Once it is cured, you can help prevent them a number of ways. Cranberry juice is good, but you need to drink a lot (4-5 cups per day) to prevent UTI’s. Cranberry extract pills, found in the vitamin section are a better alternative.
You can also drink a half ounce of raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar. This is not the same as the Heinz stuff you find at a typical grocery store. You usually have to go to a specialty or health food store to find - Whole Food Market has it. It is brown and cloudy because it is unpasteurized and unfiltered. Actually doesn’t taste so bad if you dilute it with water. It doesn’t taste so good either, but you might find it worth it to prevent bladder problems.
Do some internet searches for more info. Good luck and hope you get over whatever it is soon.
