Gaining length but not girth... stick with length or change routine?

Gaining length but not girth... stick with length or change routine?

Ok, here’s a fairly simple question that I have not seen answered on here yet. I’ve only been at PE for 2 months now. In my first month I gained 1/8” in both length and girth, and in my second month I gained another 1/8” or slightly more maybe 3/16” in length but no girth. My question should I shift my focus? Right now I spend about equal time working on both. Should I stick with that since I’m seeing gains in at least one category? I’ve read people arguing both ways that one should focus on length first, then girth when others say girth first, then length. I guess in a perfect world, or a perfect routine anyway you’d be gaining in both categories (assuming that was your ultimate goal). So, do I keep my routine the way it is now (focusing equally on both) or should I favor girth more (say 75% girth 25% length) until I see some additional girth gains. My overall “feeling” right now is that length will come fairly easily for me (1/8” per month or so) where girth could be tougher. Ultimately I’m looking for about 1-1.25” more in both areas. It doesn’t really matter to me if I get 1” in one with zero in the other, then 1” in the other and zero in the first or if I gained steadily in both and hit 1” at the same time in twice the time. By the way, I’m currently 6.625 BPEL x 4.625 EG.

Immortality,

Because PE gains are not an exact science, I’ve always performed routines which were for both length/girth and have gained in both areas very well. To me any kind of a gain is a good thing, no matter if it comes in length or girth first. If you’re making progress, continue to do what you’re doing. You can always add variety, if you feel like you’re having a plateau of some sort.

Immortality,

It’s fairly accepted among the PE community that you should go after all the length you want before focusing heavily on girth. The thicker you get, the tougher it is to get longer (just ask RWG).

I have the opposite problem - I gain girth easily, but length is a bitch for me.

It’s easier to stretch a piece of licorice than to stretch a brick.

Get your length, then go for girth.

Ok - I guess I can deal with length first. It’s just nice to have some girth, even if just a little to go along with it to give the “feel” of it being much bigger. It just makes the results look all the better IMO.

Was it your routine, because i need length before girth, i am about 6.3 length and 5.4 girth, i want to go after length first.

True, most say this. However, I don’t think it’s the best approach for everyone.

Guys with smallish girth like Immortality and me can benefit by increasing girth before going all out on length. More girth, say 5”+ midshaft erect, would make hanging easier. As it stands, I don’t have much leeway in adjustments on the Bib unless I use excessive wrap (which causes other problems).

Another reason is to allow deconditioning. If I work length for several months, the tissues strengthen and gains stall. Meanwhile, the longitudinal bonds have had all this time to decondition, making them ripe for new gains. After pushing girth hard for awhile, I can’t progress any more. Then switch back to length. This allows “rest periods” while PEing continuously.

I’ve had some surprises. I once gained all-over girth from hanging. And I’ve had some minor length gains from girth-focused routines. Fine by me. I’ll take whatever I can get.

As long as you have more length you want to get and are making gains don’t change anything.

Check it out guys, no need to have a big dick if you ain't gonna use it!!

What type of exercises are you referring to for both length and girth gains? Jelqs?
