Yeah PG it’s the verification charges paypal does, when I used to add bank accounts to my account you would always have those charges for verification

Ok so what does this mean? Because now according to the americanexpress website I have three charges on the card for $1.00 ( apparently I had hit refresh and it charged me again ) My real question is does this mean I will never get access to use this card without a REAL ( meaning non guest account ) paypal account and so I should just create one? Or does it mean in about a week there is going to be a bombardment of charges to this card which only has a set amount of money that will run out the first time it gets checked and then I will be called upon by PayPal to cough over the last two charges? By the way thanks for the help.

Hey PG, first, just to be sure, hit refresh 5 or 6 more times and verify that more $1 charges are showing up on the americanexpress website. :) Just kidding! And your efforts at donating are appreciated.

But I have not had this happen to me, and I have used Paypal a fair bit. I would email paypal directly and sort it out with them. And don’t hit refresh or submit anymore!

Edit: Googling indicated a high rate of fraud with gift cards (Amex and otherwise) and Paypal may well have restrictions on using such things. One thread I saw said something like “When you use a card online, there are a number of tests it has to pass. The first one is just making a simple temporary charge of $1.00… then after that one, your card may fail other more demanding tests (like verifying a physical address tied to the card), but you may still have the initial temporary $1.00 charge” even though the overall process failed.

Man sorry you are having so much hassle with this. An email to Paypal would be the thing to do. They can check and see what the problem is and tell you what to do to straighten it out.

I fresh squeezed lemon and Pam as lube and a mixture of flour and spices for stretches. Rolling pins and mallets are great for girth work but you have to wrap your sausage in cheese cloth first. I still use clamps (baking twine hurts) but tapes and wraps aren’t sexy, know what is? BACON baby! To finish it all up I edge with warm kneaded bread dough and ice the bejesus out of those fresh baked sticky buns.

Sorry about that Thunder, the first site is a mock cannibal fetish website. Its so ridiculous it’s just funny. No the second site doesn’t have anything graphic, it is just type and a plug for what I assume is a joke of a cook book.
