Vaginas can definitely adapt. The question of whether a big giant dick is preferable to most women is not going to be answered by looking to porn.
In porn, any number of things contribute to what you see. The girls may not be wincing for a number of reasons. Some girls want to define their femininity and attractiveness by their ability to handle a big dick, and may indeed have practiced the way you fantasized. Cold hard cash can certainly make a great many unappealing things appealing. Many girls in porn use drugs and/or alcohol before a shoot - to relax, and possibly to cope (physically and psychologically). You also have no idea how many takes it took to get what you end up seeing - it’s video, not real life. Maybe she did wince the first time, but by the end of the day had adjusted. Porn shoots can take hours.
In short, who knows?
I know girlfriends of mine, if we’ve been apart and they haven’t had sex in months, will have trouble with little bit of pain the first time back in sack with me and by basically average size.
