Well, I suppose that would depend on what you were doing in the way of exercises. Anything the completely encircles the penis, such as a clamp, could cause damage to the corpus spongiosum which supplies blood to the glans.

Overnight? Very little PE tricks should be done when you’re sleeping, as you have found out. But what’s done is done and you’ve probably learned a lesson. What are you doing now? What PE methods are you using? Hanging and vacuum pumping would probably not inflict further damage. Jelqing might be OK as well. Clamping or anything that restricts or constricts would not be advisable.
