BTW, great idea, but by using inches, this is a pretty US-centric poll. Your country is one of the few left which does not use metric.

Para,

I agree with everything you said in your last post. I should have been more specific about what I meant when I said I don’t think 100 votes will create ‘exact’ percentages. In other words, I feel the percentages distribution curve may look a bit out of whack, though I think an obvious correlation curve will be present. More votes might pull some kinks out of the curve. Not that that is really needed, as an obvious enough curve is good enough, and confidence level would be very high with 100 votes (though not absolute). I’ve read guys dismiss charts here completely, their stating it would take accounting for every adult male on the planet. I realise at that point they don’t understand confidence level, but I have rarely if ever bothered to reply to those posts because I don’t know the formula and didn’t want to present something I haven’t bothered to learn. My understanding of confidence levels arises from when I played the races. I had read about it and it was presented more so in numbers vs confidence. I no longer remember precisely the percentages vs numbers involved, but for instance, the results of 100 tests runs might equal a 90 per cent confidence level to bet a span of 100 races on (it wasn’t that simple in betting though, as the gathering of info for the many various factors, needed to create the tests, was involved and imprecise by nature, and since each factor had it’s own confidence level I think the author had overestimated the confidence level of 100 tests runs. Too much to go in to but I have many years of experience with this complication).

Hey everyone,

I just got home from work, and was pleasantly surprised by how many people had posted while I was gone. Nice to see, thanks for everyone who has helped so far. At the time of this posting, I have information on 56 participants, and so I will post some statistical information I have gathered so far ( sorry I can’t right this second as I have to eat, and more importantly, do my PE).

For the record, I am actually from Canada and have been using metric all of my life. I have just decided to use inches as measurement in this survey as I feel that Americans make up a very large portion of Thunder’s Forum.

Anyways, best get to my PE. Maybe if I throw some food in the microwave with my rice sock it will save me some time and I can post some results sooner! Also, I am planning on eventually posting all of the data I have entered, so that others may work with it and run analyses of their own liking.

Beenthere, I am well aware of confidence intervals and so can incorporate them in with the data at a later time perhaps (I will probably just be a bit too busy tonight). It essentially deals with the mean, standard deviation, and sample size, to determine how spread out from the mean they are (ie. 95% of the polled people may be within 2 standard deviations of the mean; I am sure that was a terrible explanation of confidence intervals, but explaining math in words is hard for me :) ).

So to all…stay posted as I will put up some data info some time tonight. Thanks again to everyone who has helped so far!

Hey guys, here is the data as it stands so far:

Participants: 58

Height

Average: 70.60435 (5’ 10.6”)
Standard Deviation: 2.832428
Variance: 8.022648
Median: 70.93307
Max: 76
Min:66

Erect Length

Average: 6.505241
Standard Deviation: 0.71642
Variance: 0.513257
Median: 6.5
Max: 8.5
Min: 5

Erect Girth

Average: 5.009888
Standard Deviation: 0.509516
Variance: 0.259606
Median: 5
Max: 6.25
Min: 4

Erect Volume

Average: 13.31796
Standard Deviation: 3.919498
Variance: 15.36247
Median: 12.82935
Max: 23.70227
Min: 6.366198

Correlation
Between Length and Girth: 0.662469 … therefore one would believe there is a minor correlation between the two, at this time in the survey
Between Height and Length: 0.451166 … therefore one would believe there is no correlation between the two, at this time in the survey
Between Height and Girth: 0.270797 … therefore one would believe there is no correlation between the two, at this time in the survey
Between Height and Volume: 0.342289 … therefore one would believe there is no correlation between the two, at this time in the survey

Does anyone know how to “attach” my Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that has all of my data? I am sure the answer is in the guidelines or something, it is just that I do not have much time tonight to sift through them, sorry in advance for those who were hoping for them. If I learn how to, then in the future I can just list a summary of the findings, but attach the spreadsheet for those who wish to know more or perform their own analyses. so far in the spreadsheet there are the following: the database of participant sizes (no names included), a penis volume calculator (you just put in any girth and length), display of averages, standard deviations, variances, medians, maxs, and mins for Height, Erect Length, Erect Width and Erect Volume, graphical scatterplot of Length vs. Height, Girth vs. Height, and Volume vs. Height, correlation coefficient calculator for those listed above, and cdf and pdf function calculators for Height, Length, Girth, Volume (you put in whatever height/length/girth/volume you want and it will tell you in the pdf box what percent of population is with you, and tell you your percentile in the cdf box). I will be increasing the tools as the study develops and we receive more posts.

The spreadsheet has been built entirely with formulas so that if one does not have a good grasp on statistics, then they can still get full benefit from downloading it as they would only need to put in their measurements. Right now the spreadsheet is a bit messy as calculations are “here and there”, but in time as I expand on the tools and such, I will begin to clean it up and try and make it as user-friendly as possible so that people will be able to use it more easily.

Thanks to everyone who has helped!

Interesting. According to the data collected thus far, I’m average in length and below average in girth(damn it!). Oh well, it only gives me more motivation to reach my goal. ;)

Thanks Thunder! Ok everyone, here is what I have so far. Again, it is sort of like a rough draft at this point and so you will notice formulas that appear in the middle of nowhere. I promise I will eventually clean it up and such. If you click around though, I hope that you figure out how to use the tools and such that are there (you basically just change the current input # to the number of your choice).
