I just saw at the bottom of the home page that there are over 1000 guests online right now. I remember when I was one. Why not sign up and join the conversations…. Its free, and I have learned a ton here

I second what this guy says, even if he does have an bizarrely large username :D

Most of those guests right now are bots, specifically Yahoo Slurp Spiders, with an odd one or two from MSN and Bloglines. I think I’ve seen at least a few Googles in the past. Must be time for beers and ping pong down in Mountain View.

Google bots are more efficient that yahoo bots. I have an idea that yahoo machines duplicate a lot of their effort, a waste of the interweb’s bandwidth, not to mention ours.

I was a guest for awhile, only because every time I tried to sign up I got the “Max. Registrations today” message or the “Only on Monday, Tuesday, ect.” message.

Took me about a week to finally realize if I sign up at 6am before work on a Monday, I would get in!

A lot of guys run into this problem. Quite a few of them because their browsers are showing them a cached page instead of the page they should actually be seeing.

Yep, noticed that there are alot of guest users these days.
