How does stretching work?

How does stretching work?

When you stretch, does your ligaments lenghten because they simply stretch, or is the lengthening caused by micro tears in the tissue that heal and become stronger?

I ask this because it will effect how often I stretch. For instance when you work out, since your muscle is tearing, you never work out the same muscle group two days in a row, because you have to give it time to heal. Now I know that the penis is completely different from your biceps and triceps and any other muscle group but since it does grow through the breaking down and repairing of tissues, I use the same rest days schedules as i do when I workout(I do girth every other day). So if the ligaments grow by tearing down and repairing, then I’ll have to do that every other day too, whereas if they lengthen by just simply getting stretched i can do it everyday. I believe he’s asking if the ligaments BEHAVE as the muscles do, in that there should be a rest day in between sessions for the ligaments to repair themselves. He never stated that the penis was muscle.

…and no, I don’t have an answer. I’m only here to clarify questions. :)

I was thinking of starting a workout based on this idea. I know the penis isn’t muscle, etc.

So it’d run something like:
Day 1: Jelq
Day 2: Rest
Day 3: Stretching
Day 4: Rest
repeat

Or you could run it as:
Day 1: Jelq
Day 2: Stretching
Day 3: Rest
repeat

Might start something like that soon. In regards to your question though, I’m not sure. Give it a try.

Penis is not the muscle but from my experience I can tell that in fact it is much the same to PE and to do bodybuilding. I used to go to the gym for 3-4 years…so I have some experience on that. In gym you have to:

-do exercises
-eat good
-rest

What rookies do wrong? They do exercises and they do not eat good…and they do not rest at all! They think that the more they do in the gym the bigger they will be…

Although there is no muscle in penis I found the same in PE…and it took me 2 years…

What I found even more interesting is that my penis was in better shape after the break than it was during PE! Anyway this is my experience…I can read here guys who do PE on daily basis and get results…I would say that you have to try what works for you :)

Thank you Damfino, for clearing up my question for me. I know that the penis has no muscle in it but that’s irrelevant from what I asked. So again, if anyone knows if the ligaments lengthen through tearing and repairing or if they simply lengthen by getting stretched out, please add your input. Or if you have information from personal experience like disi had, that would also be greatfully appreciated.

edit: after reading this over, I realize that I might sound rude in restating the question. If I do, then I’m sorry as I only intended to restate my question slightly clearer.

Ligs stretch but eventually they tighten back up. Otherwise all the big gainers would have erect dicks pointing straight down.

I think the reason people still do lig stretches is so that a complementary exercise (like jelqing or more hanging) afterwards won’t be wasted on stretching the ligs. For example, if I just jelq then part of the force I apply will go towards stretching the ligs, wasting my effort. On the other hand, if I do some BTC stretches beforehand then my ligs quickly get maxed out so, when I jelq, force will go into stretching the tunica not the ligs.

That’s the impression I’ve gotten. Correct me if I’m wrong.
