HTW: its a wrap

I’m sure you’re much better off than you were using the Goody wrap. Keep checkin’ those hair tie isles though…think of it like a PE treasure hunt :)

Just tried this with both my wench and PE Weights.

Wench- Not so good…the surface was too smooth and the wench kept sliding off even with 6-7 pounds. Back to the ace wrap on that one.

PE Weights- Worked great! I used 3 weights with the tie underneath. To keep it all on I rolled up 2 full length ties and put them on the end. To test I ran up a flight of stairs with no slippage! Wow.

Glad to hear it dream! Cappy’s Wench is something I’ve never tried, but based on what I know about it, I can see how it and the HTW might not be a complementary match.

Great find, xeno! It’s a shame that it doesn’t allegedly work with the wench — both the htw and the wench are excellent examples of simple and efficient ingenuity (I just built a wench earlier today, in fact — still conditioning my unit and adjusting the grippers).

Anyone know where I could find the vaunted “Scrunchi 1906-A” in Eastern Ontario or Western Québec?

This is awesome! The ease of use of these in combination with my redi-stretcher makes hanging a real simple process. I’m also loving the fact that a traction wrap now takes as little as 10 seconds to apply. Incidentally I couldn’t find the scuncii brand but what I did find is working out just fine for me, they’re Goody brand #32109 thanks Xeno for making my life a little simpler.

Well I don’t know about a showdown just yet. I have as yet to try the scuncii. If it is better I would happily concede victory to you Xeno. However if it is inferior to the Goody , well then I’ll see you at high noon partner with my Goody wraps ablazin’! :)

I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re pretty similar…at some point I’m sure it becomes a personal preference thing. Good to have viable alternatives…good job Vees!

Dreamaloud1 I’m sorry to hear the htw didn’t work for you with your wench.Here’s what I do.I take a full wrap,cut apart at the seam of course,and just roll it into itself once,then roll it up like a condom,so it’s actually double thick.Slip it on my willy and wench away! It feels good and I don’t have to re-wrap between hanging sessions.I hope my explanation makes sense.If not let me know and I’ll try to be a little more in-depth.

Well it’s been a while since I’ve used it so I went back and re-read the cptn wench thread. When did the cable clamp thing start? LOL Anyway, I added the clamp with the double wrap and it worked fine.

I use a HTW + theraband combo when hanging with the wench. It works pretty well. However, im having great difficulty trying to find a way to use my PE weights. I’ve tried using just the HTW, HTW + theraband and nothing seems to work very well. I could really use some advice on the best way to keep those damn PE weights on. I use 3 regular weights and a end weight.

I had to slip in a quick safety pin into my HTW to keep the PEWeights from slipping over.
