Is Jelqing A Waste Of Time?

Ok for guys who swear by jelqing.
If anyone is into dry jelqing, which of the 2 has given better results -
1. Single hand grip at the base (semi erect unit). Jelq stroke till you reach the base of the head.

OR

2. Clamp at base with one hand. Jelq stroke with the other hand till you reach the head’s base.

Ofcourse both could have slight variations and include kegeling.

My session consists of both #1 & 2. I am trying to figure out which of the 2 could be better. Or maybe a combination is better? I feel single hand jelqing includes a component of stretching (more of lig than tunica if done almost flaccid). Double hand jelqing **definitely** stretches the tunica more. No lig stretching in double hand jelqing though. So it could be that a combination of the 2 in a single session could stretch both tunica and ligs. Please pitch in your comments and experiences.

My jelq stroke description

Check out this post again RG. Only thing I’d like to add to the description, is I alternate hands after each stroke. Left hand stroke, right hand stroke, left again, and so on. I also kegel before each jelq stroke, trapping the blood, then jelqing forward. I never go below 50% erection level.

I’m not knocking the jelq, I’ve gained from it too and continue to perform this exercise… I was just pondering if they were really worth it (at least for me) because in no way did I experience any kind of dramatic gains. Some gains, but not no crazy shit like some people report to have gotten from jelqing. Yeah, it is a great all-around exercise for dick-health.

Yeah, jelqing is hard work. The longer you’ve been doing it, the more you have to do to keep gaining. It’s hard work but it’s fun, so I keep doing it. But sometimes I wonder if maybe the only thing that’s getting bigger are my deltoids.

If PE were a recipe, jelqing would be the main ingredient, but it’s the other stuff (squeezes, stretching) that give it it’s flavor. I think if you just resolved yourself to only jelqing you wouldn’t gain much. But then again, I suppose it may all be synergistic.

Jelqing seems to work for most of us. The whole thing about jelqing whether it does work or not, is that it conditions your penis for further exercises. Try doing a Horse 440 with no prior PE. Your dick will split open like a hot dog put in the microwave.

Jelqing is synergistic in that it is like the exercises used in football camp. They serve a purpose to toughen and strengthen you even if they don’t show the most results singlehandedly.

I don’t think i can gain anything just through mainly jelqing so I am going to do lots more squeezes and strecthes from now on.

Would you guys think that since jelqing makes your dick “stronger” (not completely sure of that…. definitely makes hard-ons harder) that eventually somewhere down the road your cock will become “too strong” and start to resist growth? Even if you systematically increase the workload?

I pretty much only jelq to warm up for doing horses. Dry jelqing has also made my penis more veiny, which I like.

man, my squeezes and 440’s are way intense, much more so than jelqing and I usually (or at least half the time) jelq pretty intensely.

Bingo. Jelqing is like PE 101. Everyone should learn it in the beginning, before trying some of the crazy ass stuff that could hurt new PEers. If you’re seeing good results with it, to paraphrase the person who started this thread, “Why the fuck bother with anything else”?

Here is why I like the jelq.

1. It’s easy
2. It’s adaptable
3. Most people see results, even if it’s only stronger erections at first
4. It trains you for the harder exercises should you choose to perform them
5. It FEELS GOOD!

Thanks Size! You summed it up nicely with your outline. In martail arts you need the simple katas in the begining. You are not expected to be able to do perfect full round house kicks your first day in. You need to train and learn. Like they teach you in film school, you have to learn all the rules before you can break them for your film and get all artsy and avant guarde.
