Is this an injury or injury waiting to happen?

Is this an injury or injury waiting to happen?

First off, I have a conditioned dick, I’ve been PE’ing several years, everything from jelqs, to pumping, to power jelqing, to hanging. I’m coming to the end of a 4 month stint of hanging. In the last month to 6 weeks I’ve started milking for 20-30 minutes post hang session. Lately I’ve noticed some bumps at “junctions” where veins sort of split off into different directions. These are not palpable or visible until or unless I milk/jelq at about 60% erect and use a fairly tight (but not Uli tight) grip as I move up my unit. They are not visible with a normal, morning wood type of erection. There is zero pain or discomfort when jelquing over these bumps. To give a more complete picture I should note that I’ve had to cut back on hang time due to fatigue (I know fatigue is desirable, but it’s occurring at lower and lower max weights, as I was trying to add more hang sets). After a couple days rest, I started the intense clamping ala the posts by Jayroony and others and still have these bumps.

Anyone else experience these bumps? Did they turn into an injury? Can I continue to jelq past this issue, possible forcing the blockage or whatever it is to move on? I know guys have talked about vein injuries and wonder if this is a precursor.

Any feedback is appreciated,

Thanks in advance gentleman.

Looks like I found the answer to my own question...

Thrombosed veins on the “injury forum”.

I have bumps on my veins too, they become visible when i get a good erection or start jelqing… i am ok so far, had them for a few weeks now, also no pain or discomfort other then the fact that they are there. Would also liek to know the answer to that

I had that once, it developed into a spot of purple colour and intimidating dimensions. Not too sure whether it’s the same as your ‘bumps’, though it was originally of exactly the same description. If this develops Germalene is a good ointment in my experience - sorts this sorta shit out in under a week with a slight, barely noticeable scar left that vanishes within a month.

Hope this helps.

I’m not really sure what that is, but it does sound like thrombosed small artery. I think the blood has been pushed in between the layers of the small vessel and you now have blood “in the walls” of your vessels. This is similar to what happens in coronary heart disease when high blood pressure “pushes” the blood into these middle areas. The problem is that this hardens the arteries because of calcification and new protein formation so the arteries can’t adjust to changing volume, pressure etc.
The risk here is that there is a greater risk for a thrombosis that can go downstream and block blood flow, leading to ischemia. These are words you never want to hear in the same sentence: ischemia and penis. Since it is a small artery, the risk may be smaller, but it could still cause major damage. It is my working theory that the “discoloration” many veteran PEers experience is because they have had thromboses in the past and their skin is receiving less than adequate oxygenated blood flow and the tissue is not healthy. Things may be okay now, but think fifteen, twenty years in the future when you aren’t getting good blood flow down there anyway.

In my non professional opinion, I’d say lay off and protect your weenie. Maybe do light maintenance but never push it to the limit.

I have the exact same symptom. I have a very small (half a pea) sized bump at a junction along the largest vein. Having read a lot on the Thrombosed Veins threads, I don’t believe it is full on thrombosis. It may be a lymph build up. Whatever it is though, it isn’t a good thing. I’m taking a month off to see if it diminishes. If it doesn’t I’ll still do PE work, but lay off jelqs and squeezes.

My advice, for what it’s worth, is too give your dick a rest. If the bumps are small and have only come recently, a short lay off could clear them completely. The further you push it, the longer it’ll take to clear up. I’ll post back in a couple of weeks to update on whether mine have gone.

Hardened veins? I have like 3 or 4 hard veins(like really hard) but continue to see gains, and get still get amazing wood. They only come out when I clamp and there is no signs of them bursting or anything like that. They’re just really stiff. Is this the same thing that leads to ischemia? Btw what would happen if ischemia took place?

thanks for the feedback guys....

From all the reading I’ve done, my bumps are smaller than what seems to have identified as thrombosis. My bumps are pin head sized, perhaps smaller and blackish, when jelquing type pressure is applied. I do feel, what many describe as guitar string or rubber band type hardness in the veins. Additionally, my flaccid, two days after no PE, still looks a bit puffy in spots which I believe is fluid build-up.

I’m doing a healing/decon break until 1/1/06.
