Jelq Question

Jelq Question

I know, someone will say to search, but for some reason my browser is being a pain and I’m getting an error when I try to search.

That said - what’s the safe way to jelq in terms of where you put the pressure? Do you squeeze all around, or do you try to put more stress on the sides or the top and bottom of the penis? I don’t want to damage any nerves or anything, and I know that’s an issue with PE.

Concentrating the pressure on the sides is safest.

Interesting, I always thought it was all the was around. Thanks for that West.

Dec \'23 -> Feb\'24 17.5cm -> 18.5cm BPEL / 12.7cm -> 13.1 MSEG / 18.5cm -> 18.9cm BPFSL (measuring in mm for accuracy)

My First Real Attempt:

2006 Start: 6.25" BPEL and 5" EG - 2012 7.625" BPEL / 4.875" EG / 8.063" BPFSL. (All manual routine)

Will side pressure still give girth? Doesn’t seem to pump much blood in.

Girth is generally more difficult to attain for most guys. Jelqing works on length and girth, but more on length. That’s mainly a function of the tunica albuginea, the tough outer coating of the corpora cavernosa which are the main erectile chambers. There’s very little between you and the CC. A layer of tissue called Buck’s fascia and skin. If you’re 50-75% erect and squeezing on the sides, you should be able to move blood from one end to the other which creates pressure against the tunica. An overhand grip, with the tips of the fingers and thumb on the underside of the penis, or a two handed grip, using the fingertips on both sides of the penis at once, can generate the required pressure without putting any stress on the ventral (top) side of the penis where the nerves are.

From what I’ve been reading (all of Big Girtha’s threads) - clamping is great for girth - both flaccid and erect. Along with that Ulis or Horses (you know, severely advanced stuff). Is this the general consensus? I don’t want length, so jelqing seems pointless to me.

Also, should I even be stretching (as per the newbie routine)? That’s just for length as well, right? All I see I need would be fowfers when sitting and sleeping (for flaccid hang), clamping/ulis (for girth both flaccid and erect), and kegels (for health, erection strength). Am I right in thinking this, then?

Yes. Big Girtha is the king of girth and many agree with his principles and techniques.

Stretching is for length (the ligs) so if you don’t want to be longer, you probably don’t need to do them.

Jelqing is one way to condition you penis for the advanced techniques. You’ve been a member for over a year, but have you conditioned yourself for the heavy duty stuff?

I was never consistent. I only just found out how to jelq properly now. Stress the sides. The way I did it before felt odd, and I held back - it seemed dangerous. Now I squeeze a lot tighter on the sides with no pain - just tightness that feels good. How long should I condition myself for?

Also going to add - with advanced exercises that say to add a tourniquet grip, well…what does that mean? Cut off bloodflow entirely? With jelq squeezes or ulis (which I just read about and now sound AWESOME for girth) they say to cut off blood flow, to trap it in there. Well, does squeezing the sides of the member stop blood flow, or is it the top or bottom? ‘cause I can squeeze REALLY hard on the sides, and blood flow doesn’t seem to stop, but from what I’m getting, putting a lot of pressure on the top and bottom of the shaft will hurt nerves, but when I do that it feels like I’m stopping flow (kind’ve like urinary flow, it you pinch the bottom it halts) - so could you give me some detail here, as to what needs to be done and where the squeezing goes?

Sorry, I just don’t want an injury on my penis of all places. Gymnastics + olympic lifting + MMA gives me enough.

Also, is it true ULIs give more girth to the glans and upper shaft, and clamping more to the lower? If so, a combo of these two would be ideal, yes?

The tourniquet grip means using one hand to clamp the base of the penis trapping blood in the parts of the corpora cavernosa (CC) that are outside the body (they continue inside for nearly the same length and attach to the pelvic bones), while using the other hand to perform the technique (Uli#3 or whatever). This prevents blood from escaping the CC and causes greater stress on the tunica. You probably have to completely encircle the penis for this to be effective.

Uli’s exercise was “designed” for glans enlargement. You have to remember that the glans has no tunica. It expands (and contracts) like a balloon. It can become very large when under pressure, but usually returns to it’s normal state when the pressure is released. Head enlargement takes a lot of time to over-stretch the tissues until they no longer contract back to their original size. It’s not an easy thing to accomplish.

Cable clamping compresses both the CC and the corpus spongiosum (which is connected to the glans - see this) so it contributes to both. See the previous paragraph for why it works better on shaft girth than head girth.

With the Uli example video I saw, the penis is squeezed real tight with one hand and milked up. I didn’t see a second hand being used. They still called that a tourniquet grip. I’m nervous about squeezing so tight.

I’ve never done Uli’s exercise and I admit I haven’t watched the video. I was going on my reading of this thread and the use of tourniquet grip in the “Jelq Squeeze” section. I supposed it could mean simply a very tight grip that you move up the shaft. Start of with a moderate grip when doing the exercise and over time make it tighter if you don’t see the gains you want. I can understand your concern with hurting yourself, many people don’t seem to take enough care, but you have to take some risk if you’re going to use these advanced exercise. So start of moderate and make it tighter until you see the results you want.

Jelqing is safe as long as you apply the tension leniently.
