I just wanted to mention that I have started adding JAI to my routine and so far I’m liking it a lot more than any of the others I’ve tried.
Unlike all the other stretching exercises I was doing, this one hasn’t brought me any irritation or pain while doing the exercises, yet when I’m done I’m always slightly longer flacid afterwards (something which was rare for me with the other exercises), and it doesn’t even take long (3 sets of 15 4-second reps with 1 minute in between each set beats the hell out of 15 minute regular stretches).
But I dunno if maybe JAI is more stimulating than other excersies or not since you pull it out 2 seconds and then bring back in for 2 seconds which kind of reminds me of jerking off but nah…I think it might actually be lengthening….or hell maybe both. Right now I’m just pulling straight out for all 3 sets but maybe I should try pulling down or adding the clockwise stretches into it but I’m not sure if I can pull those off for only 2 seconds each rep…
At any rate I’ve read countless numbers of posts about it and everyone seems to say that you do NOT pull as hard out as you can…just enough so that you feel a slight stretch with no burning or anything..and that’s exactly what I’m doing. I just hope it’s not too light because like I’ve read before, you’re better off eliminating other stretching exercises if you do this one. Hopefully I’ll have some length gains to report by the end of this December..
