Keep tapping vets.
Yea tho I walk thru the valley of the shadow of death, ….Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.
In this passage from the psalms the writer was describing a literal place He had been many times. A shepherd had to change pastures if his sheep grazed the grass too closely to the ground.Picture a very mountainous terrain. Most times to get from one pasture to another you had to go thru a narrow passage in between two mountains. The passage would be totally dark because the cliffs went almost straight up. Sometimes the path was so narrow only one person or animal at a time could make the passage. The shepherd always carried a staff. It was for protection for the sheep. He many times had to reach out with the staff and gently guide the animal to safety by pulling him in the direction he needed to go.
In this valley of the shadow of death the shepherd always went first. Remember it is pitch black in the path. The shepherd taps with his staff in the rocky trail. The sheep follow the tapping sounds and make it thru to safety. Its very important for the sheep to listen to the tapping because there are very deep crevices at intervals beside the trail. If the sheep gets too far out on his own he falls into the crevice and is gone forever.
I’m grateful for some PE mentors that went before me and blazed the trail. I never would have made it this far alone. I know that I probably post too much but I’m always listening for the tapping of the staff. Many time I get the answers I desperately need by the replies to my own posts.
If you are struggling then stop for a second and listen to the gentle tapping in the forums. Those vets are trying to tell us the way to go. Thanks guys and don’t ever stop tapping.
