Kinsey Erect Size Chart

I thought this was kind of interesting….statistics from the Kinsey Institute of Research, regarding erect measurements….

You can see the size drop-offs, which I’ve highlighted in red boxes, and the extreme drop-offs in green boxes.

For length, there appears to be a large drop between 7 - 7.25”, and a very large drop between 8 - 8.25.”

For girth, a sharp drop between 5.5 - 5.75”, and a very large drop between 6 - 6.25.”

So, if you’re 7.25 x 5.75 or so, you’re definitely in the upper percentile of men.

If you’re 8.25 x 6.25 you have to be considered “huge,” by any standard.

Are those bp or nbp?

Are you positive about that? DO you have a link to something that confirms that BP was used in the Kinsey study??

Well. Just compare it with the other size surveys that are BP. The numbers are pretty much the same. Anyone smart who’s doing a penis-size survey would use BP, since someone can have alot of fat there etc.

A swedish survey for example which was conducted using BP measurements pretty much got the same results. Avarage length BP ~5.5-6 etc.

Wadzilla, are these numbers from a really old Kinsey survey?? No info available about how the data was gathered?

Kinsey is not considered a good study sinced the participants were asked to measure themselves. They were instructed to hold a blank post card against their erect members and mark the ending point. The cards were then measured to get the results. This study is generally accepted as being grossly flawed. Do you remember O.J. trying to put on the glove? Never let the subject handle the , er, evidence.

Here is a link to a sight that talks about this study, and it gives the results. In this discussion it says that “All length measurements were taken when the penises were erect, along the top of the penis, from the point where the top of the penile shaft meets the pubic area to the tip. The foreskin was retracted in uncircumcised men. All girth measurements were taken from around the middle of the penis.”

Could they be more vague as to what they mean?

Actually, an old buddy who emails me crazy porn pictures send me that image…I just edited it with the colored boxes, so I didn’t get any details on the survey (methods, year it was done, etc.).

There’s pros & cons with self-measurement. Cons: there is little uniformity, standardization of measurement.

Pros: It’s tough to get rock hard in front of a stranger holder a ruler. And how many men would want a man to handle & measure their erection? To have a woman do it would obviously further complicate the “experiment.”

The best would probably be to go in a booth, with some porn, & a camera set up. When you jam the ruler in, when you’re rock hard, hit a pedal & take a snapshot of your penis with the ruler there.

It’s private, & the methods can be supervised.

I like that so many are 6, but the two surrounding lengths are so unpopulated. It’s that people like to deal with round numbers (..errr, round up)

And, from what I gathered, it seems that the Kinsey measurements were actually NBP - though it didn’t state this definitively.

Myth 10

Black men have big penises and Asians have small penises

Actually this isn’t totally a myth. The average size of black men is

between half an inch and an inch bigger than whites, and Asians are on

average about half an inch shorter in length. (But blacks come in all

sizes. See Images of Size, which has a black men penis size gallery.)

Penis girth seems to vary in proportion. And it appears that the vagina

of each race is built to match! Here are some research findings:

We averaged the data on erect penis size and found the averages to be

approximately:
Orientals, 4 to 5.5 inches in length and 1.25 inches in diameter;
Caucasians, 5.5 to 6 inches in length and 1.5 inches in diameter;
Blacks, 6.25 to 8 inches in length and 2 inches in diameter.
Women were proportionate to men, with Orientals having smaller vaginas

and blacks larger ones, relative to Caucasians.

And apparently there are differences in testicle size as well:

Measurements taken from living subjects as well as those at autopsy,

show the size of testicles is twofold lower in Asian men than Europeans

(9 grams versus 21 grams), a difference too large to be accounted for

entirely in terms of body size.

But I think the Kinsey measurements were NBP….which would put me at a little different perspective, since I measure BP.
