Yes, the ruler is about 1” wide. Therefore, when lying the ruler on its side it firmly presses against the crest or point of my pubic bone. Thanks for sharing this method with me. It seems to be much more consistent. I do not have be sure that the ruler is on the crest or sliding off of it. It just bridges across it this way.

Krowax I agree with you that I should give up length for the correct method. But I’ve been looking around the picture forum. How many individuals do you see measuring with the ruler on its side - or compensating for the fact that it’s not on it’s side by not pushing it in closest to the shaft?
Our concerns are not only to have consistent measurements for ourselves, but a measurement method that is used consistently across the board. I agree that your method is safer in terms of not cheating - but if nobody else is using it then our measurements will be smaller than we should allow ourselves.
Mate - I also wonder whether this could be contributing to the fact that you look far bigger in your pics than you say…

I see it more like I don’t want to lie to myself about the measurement, so I can feel good about that. And of course, that it’s a VERY consistent method. I guess that the slenderness of my body pretty much contributes to making my dick look bigger “than what it really is”. Hopefully it is as big as it looks when it comes to the sex :) .

I usually prefer measuring from the side as my dick has a curve to the left and measuring from the top does not give the real length. I also use a thick leather belt instead of a tape measure as it is more rigid and can press into the fat pad, I mark out where the tip of the dick is against the length of the belt with a pen and measure it against a normal ruler.
I have noticed also that I measure about 8.8” nbp from the top and 9.3” nbp from the side with a full erecting in the morning

Why not just straighten your dick? Measuring from the side may eliminate this requirement, but you lack the pubic bone as a guide to determine where the measurements should start.

No, I don’t I do it standing and with the ruler standing on it’s side. I just measure like that when taking pictures, since it’s such a PAIN IN THE ASS to take a picture and measure like I usually do at the same time.
