Measuring BPEL correctly

For years I have been measuring my BPEL by pressing the base of the ruler firmly against the outer most part of my pubic bone which is about .5” above the top edge of my shaft. Since the pubic bone is not perfectly flat, when measuring with the ruler resting on my shaft, but pressing firmly against my pubic bone I gain almost .25” in BPEL. I go from being 6.813” BPEL to about 7 and 1/8” BPEL. So, should I keep measureing from the very base of my shaft, or a bit higher on my pubic bone.

I feel like I should measure against the base of my shaft due to the fact that lengthening the ligs may cause the point of exit of my penis to lower slightly. Or, will I just be cheating and measuring below my pubic bone?

I measure it above the shaft… I always thought that this was the correct way… If it ain’t, damn, I haven’t been gaining as much as I thought. :’(

If it is the point of exit that is lowering, though, surely you would be getting more usable cock, so perhaps it is ok to measure from just above the shaft.

Yes, that is what I’m thinking. While I may have to turn up my pelvis very slightly, more will be usable. I’m still sure that it couldn’t creep down and lower more than another .5”. I’m still looking forward to other opinions. Thanks.

Also, if you push your fingers down and feel the contours of the bone can you not feel its presence even very close to the top of the shaft?

I never had any difference until recently between the top of the shaft and a little higher. Now I’m getting over an 1/8” more on the shaft. Personally I don’t count that. I’ll continue recording what I get about 1/4” above the shaft.

I agree the difference is from curvature of the pubic bone. But how low will my dick go? Is it “fair” to jam the ruler in practically underneath the bone? I want to know if my dick is bigger, not see how much farther the ruler can be crammed in.

I suppose one option is to hold the ruler vertically so it rides on the highest spot.

This is what I did wrong first, it’s just to give the ruler a 90 degree roll so it “lies on it side” when you measure instead. This eliminates that measuring error.

So the concensus is so far that measuremets should be taken from the outermost edge of the pubic bone. I can see how following the shaft down could just as well be jamming the ruler in farther (somewhat).

I just make sure I get as much contact surface as I can upwards, not sidewards. That way the ruler doesn’t just “vanish” into some cavity =).

As long as you’re consistent in how you measure, it’s correct.

MDC, that is right, but measuring with the ruler flat completely along my shaft gives me just over 7”. That is obviously a major feel good factor, but I want to be giving an accurate size when comparing to other sizes out there in the PE world.

If you check my old progress thread, you will see that I “gained” like, 0.25” from measuring the “wrong way”. I was 7.25, “went down to” 7 or 7.1 when I changed measuring technique, and now I’m up to 7.4, the “right way”. Hehe =).

So you’re measuring perpendicular to the shaft but from directly above it?
