Well, it’s all rather straightforward. It has to do with hormonal secretion in the body during the night. Nighttime is the premium body-rebuilder time. It’s during this time that hormones go berserk, relatively speaking. Erections are just a reaction to the hormonal surge. Actually, I believe they are not just reactions but considered part of the secretion reaction. I can’t recall offhand.
The two main hormones that are responsible for the effect are growth hormone (HgH) and testosterone. T-levels are generally highest at about 5am for the average man, so set your alarm for about that time and wake up to total wood, most likely.
Interestingly, it is said that about 2pm or so is the IDEAL time for both the synchronization of the male and female bodies for sex as they are both at high levels of hormonal secretion. So try that afternoon sex and see how awesome it is… That’s also about the time I like to workout, when I get the chance.
Not surprisingly, about 8pm is when the testosterone level is the LOWEST. That explains the couch potato syndrome to some extent.
