I’ve been looking for a way around the expensive silicon sleeves for the vacuum hanging idea. Comfy and effective, but just not practical for long term hanging, the inner-tube would be practically indestructible.
The only downside I see is the knots. The knots in the inner-tube look like they would be uncomfortable, might pinch or chafe the skin, otherwise it looks pretty good. I agree the valve stem would also be a pain. The need of a bicycle pump and all.
I’m thinking something like this but with the Neonatal BP cuff might work better. Then you could pump it up with just a squeeze bulb. I think I have a couple of Monty’s air-clamps around somewhere. Maybe lining the inside of a PVC end cap, or even one of MB’s old Vacuum Hanger head caps might improve the idea. Looks like this might handle 15 pounds, but I bet there is a lot of skin stretch.
